Just built my second T-276 Totguard.. I'm excited
This is not my first ebike from this manufacturer. The fact that I bought the same exact bike 2 years later should tell you that it's an excellent product. Pretty much bulletproof. But, as it's the second one, I did insist on some upgrades right out of the box that I would FIRMLY recommend. Let's talk about it. BUY PLENTY OF FULLY METALLIC BRAKE PADS. AS IN 6 PAIRS. It's just as important if not more so, to be able to stop as it is to be able to ride. THORN RESISTANT INNER TUBES. Keep the stocks as emergency spares. Same goes for the tires. REPLACE THE STOCK TIRES WITH SCHWALBE TIRES. Just trust me, keep the stocks as spares, they're not terrible. BIG COMFORTABLE SADDLE. Don't skimp on the saddle, the stock one is ok but it's about comfort so you can ride longer and further. STEM RISER NECESSARY. The stock stem is very short. Very short. And last but not least at all, HIGH GRADE FIREARM LUBRICANT FOR THE BEARINGS AND MOVING PARTS. You'll get thousands more miles by adding a professional grade metal conditioner. That being said, you will end up with one of the most formidable, long lasting, quality made and reliable ebikes around. Here's what I have been through with my first T-276: ran it into a FedEx truck at medium speed; had a head-on collision with another bike at full speed; hit a sidewalk curb at full speed and broke my humerus in 3 places; and got hit standing still by another ebikes doing around 16 mph (that broke my headlight). And to this day, that original bike is running flawlessly with over 3000 miles on it, has gone through 2 sets of tires, and the only thing keeping it from being in perfect shape is a very slight and imperceptible warp to the front tire from hitting that curb. Otherwise, no worse for wear, literally. Oh, I did have to replace the charger but no biggie. I just wanted a new one. I remember searching Amazon trying to find an ebikes that would not be a lemon or a toy. How would I know where to start? It's exhausting. Take my advice and make the small upgrades, and rest assured that you made the best decision: these bikes are golden.

Worth it, would definitely buy it again
Worth the price, took the risk to buy this e-bike considering its announced specs are way better in comparison to others in the same price range. Its throttle only mode and pedal assistance modes are well designed, no hiccups or sudden/unexpected startles/accelerations. It is gentle when needed but may be more aggressive, though still safe, if you go full throttle. It came around 90% assembled, and was relatively easy to finish it, took me less than an hour to do it although the instructions aren't that clear. I may be biased because a year ago I had to assemble a bike that was like 50% assembled. Brakes were perfect aligned, no adjustments were required. Please note that 2 sets of nuts&bolts were missing (1 for the kickstand and 1 for the front chain guard/guide). It fitted me well (6ft2/200lbs), a good choice both for keeping you fit/healthy as well as for the days you are feeling tired or are in a hurry and don't want to get (much) sweat. Commuted on it for a week, 90% of the time at 20ish mph cruising speed some times throttling only, odometer close to 20 miles now. Battery is removable and had no issues with it or the charger. As this is my first e-bike, once assembled I would take a quick ride just to test-drive it. I was expecting to do this for no more than 5 minutes, since it was a cold night outside and I wasn't feeling like changing my clothes just for that, turns out I rode it for like half an hour throughout the neighborhood as it provided me such a nice first e-ride experience. Also rode it with the engine turned off, bicycle is not heavy at all. Actually I would add a few more gears to it, since even the hardest one was still easy. Maybe this is the standard design for safety, so you don't go too fast. Though I am used to have this issue with most bikes. I would definitely buy it again based on my first week commuting on it, and see that soon e-bikes will be the standard given how practical it is. Will update this comment in a few weeks.

Seems like a great bike but came damaged
The bike came out of the box with broken tabs on the battery holder. Bike functions but battery is not secure. Sent message to seller, awaiting answer. I'd be happy with just a replacement part. *Update* Spoke with seller and they are sending a new part. Will update once it is received. *Update* Part arrived and was installed. Good communication from the seller, updated me through the process. Other than that bike is pretty awesome. Went together easily. Some of the components feel a little chintzy i.e. the gear shifter levers, but they all function out of the box. Has plenty of power, I am 6'2" 220lbs, and had no problem getting to top speed of 21.8mph. I feel the frame may be a little small for me, but it is still comfortable so far, I've only ridden 2 miles. But planning on commuting 6 miles round trip. Will update after a bit. 100 mile update. So I've got 100 miles in. Still happy with the bike. I've left it at 4 stars, because while it operates well there are a couple shortcomings. I've replaced the grips with softer the originals were pretty hard and uncomfortable. Not a major issue. The only problem is the front fork. Under hard braking it shudders and there is quite a lot of flex. It's livable but not confidence inspiring. Will most likely be replacing. Also the brakes are fairly noisy. Other than that I am really enjoying the bike. The seat is pretty good for an out of the box. I've been riding 6 miles a day with no soreness.

Nothing but problems!
I bought 2 of these bikes for my kids and have had nothing but problems with them! One bike the screen stopped working 1 month into getting it. I was able to get a replacement for that which took over a month to get here. NOW. 6 months later the screen on the other bike doesn’t work, the batteries won’t charge on both bikes and after about 10-15 mins of riding the bikes just shut down automatically. Seller asked for videos I sent them and then they wanted another video of something else I have sent a bunch of videos and they keep telling me to do something differently! At this point my kids haven’t been able to ride their bikes in almost a month and I keep getting the run around. Finally I had to contact Amazon customer service because I was getting know where with the seller on my issue.

My second TotGuard bike and my go to commuter... I love it
This is my second TotGuard bike. My first was was the 350w 26 inch which I purchased last year. In three months, I put 560 miles on it and it ran like a champ. After seeing the 500w 27.5 inch bike up on sale, I had to jump in. With shipping, it came in at $511. At that price, it's almost disposable! As long as I get one good year in, I feel as though that I can always save up for a new bike... though my wife and kids are using the 26 inch model, and it's still riding strong. To be clear, this certainly is an entry level electric bike and it won't perform on the level as more expensive models, but it holds it own. While the 350w struggled on uphill climbs, the 500w makes it much easier. It won't get me up by itself, but it makes the job enjoyable. A few points to note. The 350w peaks at 19 mph, and I was able to pedal just a bit faster, which helped to extend the range. The 500w peaks just shy of 22 mph which I've learned is a bit faster than I normally pedal, which encourages me to push harder. Also, the 350w bike's screen showed 6 bars to indicate battery life, while the 500w only has five, so I'm going to have to relearn range vs battery life. I've ridden the 350w bike from full charge to completely drained, and I made it 31 miles and change. I plan on doing the same with the 500w to see how it compares. This bike is budget friendly and performs exactly as advertised. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for an electric/pedal bike.

Fun bike
I read many of these reviews before diving to purchase two bikes for my husband and me. First, I saw a post on the tires. I would say upgrade the tires. We did two outings before we blew out. We found the $20 tire recommendation to be perfect. We are good to go. I can say the bike is pretty fast. Another item to think about investing in is a helmet. I know it's "so not cool," but this bike moves faster than you realize. My husband took a nasty spill on gravel. Out of nowhere, he used his face as a landing at top speed - because we are a bunch of children trying to race each other on our EXACT SAME BIKE. A trip to the ER later, he broke his face. The bike??? Still going strong. If you can fall off, break your face, and still have a bike working in great condition, I would say this is a hardy bike. We may have to look for a battery in the future. We are enjoying these bikes. We have taken them on trails, dirt, and paved. The only issue was the tires. Someone mentioned the size. I'm 5'4. The bike is at my limit to being able to ride comfortably. A tiptoe here and there, I'm good to go when we are riding. We even added a back for our dog (10 lbs of pure heathen)—no issues with our bikes. One other addition we got covered for the back tires. When the dog isn't with me, it's not fun to sling mud and dirt up your backside. After a couple of panels from Amazon, we were good to go. The best part about this bike....it doesn't look like an e-bike. We love that people get thrown off by us when we zip by—had one guy chase us down because he couldn't figure out how we were riding. That was a hoot.

Awesome bike I had no problem
So I want to start of out saying yes im a real person before hand lol. I received the bike and was more then excited to assemble it and try it out. The reason I Purchased this bike was because of the gentleman who did an awesome review and also because I needed something that would make my commute to work alot easier especially on uphills. Let me tell you guys I am not disappointed with this master piece that I received today. The bike was packaged very well. In the box came all the tools necessary to build the bike except a screw driver which is no biggy. In there was also a user manual which show you how to build the components needed to attach and also shows how the buttons works and what you need to know about the different features of the bike. The battery worked great and i didnt have any issues. They also give you a user manual for the battery as well. The charger was included in the box. I didnt have to mess with the brakes much and didnt have to mess with tuneing the derailleurs the bike came to me perfectly tuned. Which i was very happy about. I did how ever upgraded the pedals to a better set and the seat as well but the seat it come with is not bad. As of right now and one day of use i have added 6 miles to it. I will definitely recommend this to someone who is interested in a e-bike. I give this order 10/10 until further notice.
