Replaced somewhat poor quality factory motor on Ingersol Rand Compressor. This motor is much quieter and seems to function much better than the initial one. Seems powerful. Easy to install. Only have had it for about one month. Can't speak to longevity. Pleased so far.

We ordered this obviously thinking it was the correct motor, but when we received it is was not. All specs are the same but the mounting is not. Before ordering we made sure it was returnable, but did not notice that the return can only be made through UPS and that there is a 10% fee for sending it back. I would suggest confirming with Regal Rexnord directly to make sure you are ordering the correct motor before placing the order.

This thing is skookum as frig! I wired her up(correctly) and she fired right up. I did need to do a search on which wires to use to get the correct rotation, even though it is written pretty well on the housing of motor, just wasn't good enough for me, lol. All the leads are yellow, but they are identified and labeled well with black writing. I used this motor to replace a 3.7 hp of the same rpm and frame size for a 60 gal air compressor. I also upped the pulley size on my compressor by 20% to increase the output of the pump. It will probably shorten the life of my pump, but I sure am enjoying the extra output. This motor seems well made and will likely last a long time in residential service, probably commercial as well. I would definitely purchase this again. Replaced the motor on my air compressor with this one. Works great, runs quiet and with much less vibration than the old one.Gave it 4 stars because the packaging wasn't adequate for shipping an item this heavy. When mine showed up it had obviously been dropped and had bent the mounting bracket. Easy enough to bend it back, but proper shipping materials would have avoided the issue.

motor lasted about 5 minutes under load. contacted company about warranty and was shipped a new motor in two days. Company was really good about honoring and replacing motor under warranty. according to company a spring in the switch had slipped off its anchor point. replacement motor works perfectly. If I ever need another motor I would buy from this supplier .
