Works fine.

It worked great as a replacement for the silver Apple Remote. Also worked great as a replacement for the black one. Way less expensive than an apple replacement. I put the batteries in and it worked right away.

The demise of my apple remote was a coffee spill, so I was on the hunt for a replacement & had the apple remote in my cart. About to press purchase I started thinking; the voice command button never worked (I had 2) so why am I spending the extra money when I could get a basic remote? So I searched basic apple universal remotes and this one came up. Yes, it’s basic but it works really well, I can change channels with ease, edit menu items & it matches my tv remote (I have to keep that one for volume and powering on the tv). As long as you need a basic apple remote go for it!

This is a great remote if you need one and don’t mind that it doesn’t have volume control. I find I have to replace my controllers because I drop them a lot. This controller has taken a major beating. So much so that I bought a second one just to have in case the other one actually dies.

I am a klutz and dropped our Apple TV remote in my bowl of soup. How this happens is as much a mystery to me as it is do you reading this, no doubt. We didn't want to pay the 60 plus dollars to get a true apple remote replacement so we wanted to find one off Amazon. This one had great reviews and was a great price but at what cost? There is no on and off button, you turn it on by pressing the menu button and then the only way we've been able to find out how to turn it off is to go into the settings on the Apple TV and navigate to the sleep function. Needless to say this is less than ideal. Additionally, it does not have sound function so we have to go up to the TV and adjust the sound every time which is a pain in the butt. I didn't expect to have these features but I do miss the trackpad and the voice search which both of these things this remote does not have. If you're looking for something just to make it accessible this probably will work for you but if you're looking for an actual remote that you can use that functions closer to how the Apple remote or a normal remote would function this will probably not work for you. We are returning as soon as we can find a better alternative.

I got this remote because my Apple TV remote went out and wouldn’t hold its charge. I didn’t want to pay an arm and leg to get it replaced so looked at a different one that would work. For the price it isn’t bad, you get the basic controls and works perfectly fine. So if your wanting something to help now until you can save up for the actual this is the perfect remote. The only thing is it’s nothing like the original. I would recommend it to the next person who needs something right away but not for the long run.

It works well. A good alternative to purchasing a whole new Apple TV device. I am happy with it.

This was the easiest buy ever. My kids broke our original apple tv remote, so we've been using the remote app on our phones for years. It was working until they moved the remote to the control center, and then it just stopped connecting. I finally just pulled the plug on a replacement remote and boy was that easy. Pros: Much cheaper than apple tv remote, it came the very same day I ordered it, just put batteries in and it auto syns with your apple tv! THAT EASY.

Not as original and poorly used You need to be very close to the router for it to work After a while it doesn't work at all I don't recommend it at all

I absolutely recommend this remote. It’s brilliant and easy to pair to Apple TV. I was so impressed with how quickly it arrived.
