I didn't realize they were collapsible plastic but ends are rigid to make solid. Easy to assemble about 30 seconds each. I bought a case 3x. I wear 12 shoes and a lot are high tops and didn't have any problems. Highly recommend but temper expectations.

Putting them together was weird at first but once I got the hang of it, it went fast.PRO TIP: there are TWO sizes, one set is 5 inches high, the other is 7 inches high. I saw a couple reviews complaining that they weren't tall enough for high tops.FALSE. If you want to put high tops or higher heeled shoe in these standing up, buy the 7 inch set. They will fit perfect.
