Blackfire BBM889E Clamp Light 100-Lumen 4AAA 2-Mode Emergency LED Flashlight Flasher, Orange

I love Blackfire lights since I learned about the original model through Popular Science. I have been worried about the state of the company for some time, then delighted to see their new recent efforts. This model is one of them. It is essentially a recolored Clamp light junior with a full 100 Lumen output, a variable function switch and a red cap. Everyone should have at least one of these in their car as part of their car kit. As a straight flashlight it throws plenty of light for any reason that you might need. If you have pockets, purse, or EDC bag then you should definitely carry one with you whenever possible. Especially if they are not, or have ceased producing the Clamp light Junior in actual 100 lumen model and the 28 is all that you can find. There is no excuse for anyone to not have at least a Clamp light mini in their purse, pocket or EDC bag. And as such, the 28 lumen junior is unnecessary. I will say that this model is not perfect. It should be part of a minimum, but one should carry extra road flares, a couple extra flashlights, and a couple of those magnetic base red strobes in case of emergency. Also, since this based on the junior model it does change to a standing mode, but that is by turning out the feet, leaving a small base that I wish was more stable. That is its sole real flaw that I have found. The original Clamp light and the Clamplight waterproof self stand as well as they clip(which this one clips well), so I recommend those models expressly for anyone who does home repair work, all plumbers, pest management professionals, anyone who needs to use their hands and have a lot of light thrown on whatever they need to be using their hands on. No, they are not crown bezel, end cap switch tactical lights that require cr123 batteries and cost hundreds of dollars. They are affordable lights that will do everything that almost every single person needs them to do with easily available and replaceable batteries that are comfortable and easy to use. They are comforting to have around and just endlessly useful if you really use them.

hard to put the batteries in and even after that struggle IT DIDN'T WORK. Cheap plastic, waste of money. If I could give it -5 stars I would. Don't buy it.

Great light, the clamp s very useful

This is a good light and it clips on to my work shelf to give light where I needed it. However, after 2 months of use the light doesn't always stay on. I need to wiggle the top part to make the light come on. (the reason for 3 stars)

There are so many contact points in it that the lite blinks and the switch does not work properly. I thought it would be a handy tool but found it is not. Not worth sending it back so I will see if I can get to be somewhat useful. If not it will go in the trash bin. ☺UPDATE:After trying for several days to use this "Flashlight" I have found it has one fatal flaw. It will not stay lit!! It sometimes will turn on when I push the button then it goes on and off. Don't know if I got the only bad one but can't recommend it to anyone!

Gave these lights as Christmas gifts. The light emitted was surprisingly bright and was the feature most commented on.The articulating head is a nice feature allowing you to clamp it on to something and then adjust the light as desired. There are limits to this as the head does not spin 360 deg but is limited. This really isn't an issue as you can just flip the light over and réclame if that is an issue for you.The construction of the light was good. Keep in mind it is plastics though and I'm sure you couldn't drive nails with it.Overall everyone seemed happy with their new lights and I was pleased to give them.

Purchased AND returned this product 4 times. Two never did light. The other 2 came on first try and never worked again.

Lots of light in a small package.

This is the second one of these flashlights we have bought, very powerful and versatile. Unfortunately the batteries that were included had partially decomposed and were leaking. This could be seen through the window in the packaging but was shipped like that anyway. Otherwise, would have given 5 stars.

I like how they clip on

I bought this add-on item to get free same day shipping on an order. As a flashlight, I think it's decent. It's bright and has the typical modes you will find on any other flashlight (high, low and strobe). However, it feels very lightweight and cheap. I also thought emergency beacon was useless. I was expecting it to make the light appear red but there's a very little effect when the snap-on beacon is attached.What's good about this product?☑ INEXPENSIVE: Cheap, but I recommend buying a tactical flashlight instead. Most are within this price range and made of aluminum alloy.☑ BRIGHTNESS: Very bright light, and the modes work well and are easy to toggle between.What's bad about this product?⚠ EMERGENCY BEACON: The snap on beacon is useless. All of the light goes through the opening so it still appears like a normal white light as opposed to a red light.⚠ BUILD QUALITY: Made of cheap, lightweight plastic. I don't see it being durable for too long.

Clearly states "Blackfire BBM889 Clamp Light Junior Compact 100-Lumen 4AAA LED Flashlight" but the flash light is actually 25-Lumens (see pic), Buyer beware.
