It is a connector - so yes I can be used to charge - eg. If you had an iPhone cable that was the older USB - The Anker could be used to connect the cable to a MAC that only has a USB 3 connection

Very good, it is compatible. Data is also transfered at good speed for me. It gets heat, a alot. Take care of the heat. Overall I am ok with this product.

They are not glued properly.

They will come apart anytime and if your adapter is out of warranty Anker will not repair even if you are willing to pay for it.

These are quite nice to use. I'm using these with my M1 MBP and have ordered a USB-C mouse and pen-drives. I'll still keep these for all my clients who have USB 3 pen drives and external drives. These are small, light and handy.
