A Fiber optic HDMI cable is a new and cutting edge version of HDMI cables. They have converters attached to both ends to convert signals into HDMI signals and subsequently transmitting them. The biggest advantage of using these cables is that there is no degradation of signals over large distances of transmission! As these cables are relatively new in the market hence the more expensive price attached to them, they pack a punch in terms of quality and stability. I have attached this to my Hikvision CCTV and run the cable all the way from the loft to the ground floor to a TV in the kitchen to monitor the CCTV, they quality is crisp and there is no lag.
