I am very pleased with the cameras. I would definitely recommend them for the appearance they give off and for their cost. They arrived quickly and in good condition. They look real - or at least would make you think twice before doing something shady because you might be on camera. This is exactly what I was looking for as it seems that crime is increasing everywhere due to the economic downturn. They look real enough for the would-be-criminals to just not want to be bothered (because it could be a gamble if the cameras are real or not) and simply move along. I put the batteries in and saw the bright red light flashing and decided to take them out. In my opinion, the flashing light makes the cameras look like they could possibly be fake. I Googled this and, in fact, most real security cameras don't appear to have flashing red lights, but rather a constant dim red light or no light at all. I'm installing them at 4 locations around our house - front door, garage door, side garage man-door, and back door - screwing them into some wood just below our eavestroughs. At that height it will be harder to tell if they are real or not - and hopefully no one will want to stick around to thoroughly investigate. I also purchased some Mr. Beams (also through Amazon) battery operated outdoor motion security sensor lights to help act as a deterrent as well. From what I have researched, cameras (whether real or fake) and sensor lights in the front and back yard will often do the trick. Side note: The camera base unscrews from the camera making it easy to screw into wherever you want to mount it - and then screw the camera back onto the base after you get it mounted. I also didn't use the security sticker decals that came in the package as I felt they looked a bit questionably fake. Overall I would recommend this product if you want to to give the appearance of having a secure property but don't want to spend a ton of money or invest in a real security system.

Hard to fill in that one part for doesn't apply but I'm satisfied so far. It certainly would make me think about things. It's for my cottage. I also have a real one. So it's a deterrent and if mounted properly in a position someone can't reach. Unless pros which probably are good g I'm regardless. Inexperienced potential robbers/kids. They will be deterred by them. Position properly and for me so far. Work great. I always have the tea one hidden in a tree but battery operated so until I hear north for a visit. I'm not sure who's been on my property. I was impressed tho. I'd prefer if they came without printing on them.MTD

The security cameras are realistic enough that most people will be fooled. Cable that goes underneath to simulate a digital fee should be longer. Not sure how long batteries will last but has been couple of months since installation.
