It’s a rock star romance between lead singer Jonas & normal girl Kira. It’s a second chance love story. The story is not too focused on the rock band its more of family dynamics and relationship among each other and band mates.Jonas and Kira first meet 5 years ago when Jonas spent sometime in the small town for few months to rejuvenate. Their friendship will be solid then and they depart each other without any contact. Now after 5 years Jonas and his team has stopped in the same place for a relaxing weekend. When Joans meets Kira, he has big surprise waiting for him. Will they be able to forget their differences and move forward? What sacrifices both of them are ready to make?The friendship and banter between main protagonist were good. I totally loved the stuffed doll name. Writing style was little messed up for my taste. It had some up’s and down. Initial part of the book toggled between past and present too much without proper sequence.Secondary characters: Jonas bandmate Quinn seems bada**, but jury is pending due to her limited entry in book. Nixon seems troublesome, hope he has more depth to him. Adam is lovely, I just couldn’t stop myself from falling in love with him. Vivi is sweet, but I felt she was sort of side tracked.Overall, this is a good one time read. Recommended for people looking for Rockstar romance.I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.

So when I saw this series I knew I would be reading. I didn’t tell him we had a baby is such a popular trope in romance and sometimes it’s ok, sometimes it makes me furious like I know the man myself.This book made it basically acceptable and I enjoyed all the characters involved. I feel like Sarina Bowen is really good at writing the sweetness of romance books, and easing you into the characters’ worlds.I’m intrigued to read Quinn’s book because there’s obviously a lot we don’t know, and I already know Nixon’s book will break my heart. I haven’t read Devney Perry before but based on loving Sarina Bowen’s books, and like Rebecca Yarros’, I feel like she’s in good enough company for me to give her a chance.

I feel like I haven't read a book by this author all year, but that can't be right?! Regardless I've read this series all out of order, but I've finally finished it. And I really enjoyed it. Like...a lot. The dynamic between Jonas and Kira was great, and even though you would think there would be a tonne of angst in this considering what is at the root of it, there really isn't. And I really appreciate that, honestly. Not that this book is angst free. Far from it, but I had to knock it down a smidge because Quinn played Jonas dirty and that wasn't resolved to my liking. For the most part though this has been a 5star series for me.

Lies and Lullabies by Sarina Bowen a five-star read that may tell you lies. This is number one in the Hush Note series and I enjoyed it, but it didn’t always deserve five-stars and if I am honest if I had rated it before finishing the series, I would have marked it down, but it played a great role in building the background. Kira hasn’t had it as easy as many, but she has taken her knocks and kept going. But Adam was the character I wished we had heard more from, he made me smile so much. Not as much as Jonas but at times maybe a little more. This is a complex story and you do need to ignore certain parts, but others tell a story the author was brave to include and it made this a great read overall.

I love a secret pregnancy book and Ms Bowen writes a great one.I enjoyed all the characters in this first of the Hush Notes series and look forward to getting to know them more in their own individual books.Five years have passed since Jonas and Kira spent a special summer together...How will he react when he learns that a lasting bond was formed and he now has 2 girls to share his heart with? Will Kira be brave enough to take the leap and trust her rockstar?A great story with humour, heat and heart🥰
