The MEEDEN 8-well ceramic paint palette is such an upgrade from plastic ones. The porcelain surface is smooth and easy to clean, so paint doesn’t stain or stick, and colours mix really well against the bright white background. The size is practical, with plenty of room in each well while still being compact enough to fit neatly on a desk. It has a nice weight to it, so it stays put while working, and it feels really sturdy and durable. Overall, it’s a high-quality palette that makes painting feel more professional.

As well as plastic artists' palettes, I've used old saucers, plastic lids and all sorts over the years as palettes for acrylic hobby paints. This glazed ceramic palette is the best I've used in 40 years, by miles! Weighty so it will never move or tip over. If it looks small, I can tell you that the 8 sections are enough for an evening's painting. They're deep enough for mixing up washes or even soaking decals too. And it's so easy to clean up compared to other materials, especially plastic. Unless the paint is really thinned and dried on, a wipe will scrape it off as a thin rubbery sheet. Even on tough, old paint, hot water and soap with a pot scrubber will clean it perfectly. I've used this palette a couple of hundred times in the year since I bought it, and it still looks new. So if you feel the price is a lot for a palette, this might be the one to change your mind - it performs well, cleans up easily and quickly and lasts longer than anything else I've tried.

Great ceramic pallete. Was a present from my son. I used it a lot. Easy to clean unlike plastic ones which get stained and hard to wash. It is a bit heavy but that is good because it doesn't slide or move around when mixing colours.

A fabulous heavy palette that stays in place and doesn’t cause the paint to bead like plastic palettes do. The deep wells hold plenty of paint, making it very practical for watercolour work. It cleans up easily, comes well-packaged, and feels durable. I love this palette so much, I might just buy another!

Nice product, well made, quite heavy and exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. After using cheap plastic palettes previously this is a massive improvement and I wish I'd bought one sooner because it doesn't stain, and wipes clean really easily. Knocked off one star because it was very dusty when it arrived and needed a good clean.

Deep wells, a good size, no stain from watercolour painting, the size of the pans are large enough to mix and store mixed colours, good value for money.

Fantastic ceramic pallet holds plenty of paint for washes. Cleans easily. Very useful. Price point excellent for quality of product.

For me, it's a good size (7 x7 inches) and weight (1.26 lbs) and very stable. It is by the side of 9 x 12 inch watercolour pad in the photo. The pallette sits by my right hand and doesn't interfere with access to my two water pots and paints. Being white porcelain it makes mixing colours and washes easy and the wells are deep (.75 inches) - no problem cleaning out individual wells with kitchen roll if needed. I think it is excellent value and Meeden has plenty of variety in pallettes to choose from. And they will last for years, perform better than plastic ones and won't negatively impact on the environment
