The Lightning Archery recurve bow is very versatile and one everyone should own. It is absolutely high quality & resonanably priced plus can be used in many ways for 3D target, competition target shooting, Field Archery and hunting. It is very accurate with little to no handshock. It is an extremely high quality and durabable plus what you get in overall package are three nice arrows, armguard, paper target, finger tab and easy to follow instructions. I was looking for a good take down recurve bow to compliment my compound bow and longbow shooting.This recurve bow kit has everything one needs to get started shooting bare bow archery. The only thing needed is a backstop for the arrows. I decided to purchase this bow versus the big name bows based on the photos and customer reviews.When I received the bow kit it was boxed nicely which would make it an ideal gift for the beginning archer. All the parts were in the box as advertised and there are instructions included on how to assemble the bow.The bow is well made and finished well. The limbs fit snugly and securely to the frame. The bow comes ready to accept a stabilizer, bow sight, and an arrow rest. I’ve already added a bow sight and can affirm that the holes are drilled in the correct locations to accept the sight.I shot the bow on several occasions now. I like the take down limbs as it makes the bow easy to transport. It shoots as well as the big name bows. This is a good bow for a beginning archer or a recreational archer or a hunter. A hunter can purchase additional limbs with a heavier draw weight for big game hunting.

The quality of the bow is great and no warping of the arms. Everything came in the kit like it said. The kit came with instructions on how to put the bow together and it was easy to read. The arm guard is surprisingly small. I had to keep changing the guard position every time an arrow slaps my arm. The practice arrows are great even though they feel very cheap, none of them broke when shot at the wooden fence and they were fine after being pulled out. The string of the bow has adjustable cushions for the fingers, which is nice because I didn't need a glove for my fingers. The bow string is not loud when fired and it doesn't sound like it needed any whiskers or pom poms. There are some scuffs on the bow (where the string is seated and where the arrow is shot) but these scuffs look like the bow was tested for approval. It's a great bow kit for beginners.

I'm new to archery, look for different brands and different bows. I go through a lot of articles and watched YouTube to find better bow. Finally decide to settle on the lightning #30 recurve. I just got this two years ago and it looks and feels like it's extremely well made. My skills are very raw to say the least, I can review about the product of design, and packing, what things come with. Cause I am addicted to amazon, already buy a number of goods in here. Let’s talk about the design first, beautiful work of art, very obvious care was taken to design and build it. It will last a long time, never fail me, and maybe even be handed down to a new generation. For the packing, it come with very hard solid box. It looks like this company has effort to the packing, it is very wise judgment. In the box, something big plastic form cover the product. It seems like usage for protect the product, and be a double protecter. There is a riser, two limbs, a bowstring, two pieces of fur arrow rest, a bow stringer, archery armguard. I am very surprise they give a lot of accessories in reasonable price. Lastly, the grip is very comfortable to me. There is also an instruction manual, which is easy to understand and assemble for a novice like me. The bow feels great in my hands and is nice to shoot. I'll update my review after I have more experience with this bow.

The bow is easy to put together. It shoots good. Seems well made. Shot about 100 arrows through it first day. The bow seems to be quality. The arrows are to skinny, arm guard is wimpy, and the stringer broke after stringing it twice. I bought new arrows to go with it and it shoots them great. At this point i would recommend it, just be ready to buy other accessories.

I loved the entire package the handle is beautiful. The limbs are spot on .However I wanted a takedown bow so it could be assembled and re-assembled. However the screw and helicoil from step one, being very cautious. Was incorrect. What I mean is that the bootom limb and screw fit nicely the other limb the screw was not right and had to be slightly forced which now results in the fact that if the bow is taken down again the screw will be stripped. I think this a great theory. But, reality is now I have bought a one time use takedown bow. Unless they replace what I bougth. Also there are alot of useless things in the packaging. One thing that could be usefful is an arrow guide at the nock. Great product and great entry level bow. But if the screw and helicoil get stripped step one well You just paind for one time use junk again. Is Amazon becoming EBay. I am tied of buying product that don't fulfill a simple and not even, long term, warranty of fitness. I am in the processing a claim to see how they will make me whole again . Meaning I can fix the bosw and have it work at least more then one time of assembly.
