The media could not be loaded.  this is the reading and maths set 2 activity book from the hot dots series, it’s designed for kids of ages 5 and olderthere are 2 activity books and an interactive pen included in the set, but no battery is included, it takes 2 x aaa batteries to work, so be ready some batteries to avoid kids disappointmentthere are 100 pages of activity in these books, they covers spelling and basic maths, my 5 years old kid found it’s not too hard to finish, probably it would make a bit more challenge to younger kidsit’s a creative design that kids will know if they answer right or wrong immediately with the pen, the pen will make sound and light for correct and incorrect answer, very easy to use, the only issue is that kid must tap on centre of the black dot, or the pen will make an incorrect sound, that would be a bit misleadingall in all, i’m happy with this product and my kids like it too, would recommend ithope you find these information helpful

Confused child when wrong light comes on

The media could not be loaded.  I got this Hot Dots books for son and daughter. The pen need 2XAAA batteries not included. The pen doesn’t talk just makes sounds and flushes red for wrong answer and green for the right answer. It makes sounds and if you point the pen to the wrong place it flash red and correct dot flushes green. For the price I was hoping the pen can talk and sound out the words so the child can follow and understand. This is little confusing for younger child to understand what to do when it just flushes green and red. The pen works with any Hot Dots books and suitable for older kids. You get 2 books math and English and 1 pen. I got extra pen so both of my children can use each book separately without fighting over the pen.

You get 2 x books Reading Set 2 and Maths Set 2 with a red interactive pen. You simply read the question for example which is less one or two, then place you pen on the HOT DOT and press gently. It will light up green and play a happy sound, or light up red and play a sad song if incorrect. Each book has different sections, 50 pages and reward stickers.My youngest absolutely adores these books, as it is educational but fun, so she doesn't even realise she is learning whilst playing! And an added bonus we already have some more books for her to play with!Overall I'd thoroughly recommend this for any child aged 5-8, as it is just right for that age range. Superb stuff.

In this set you get:- 2 spiral bound Hot Dots workbooks designed to interact with the Hot Dots interactive pen: one aimed at early Literacy, the other at Mathematics- One Hot Dots reader penThe pen requires two AAA batteries to run, and these are not included. The system is clear, simple and easy to use. Each book has a series of questions targeted at early reading or maths tasks. A series of multiple choice answers are then given, each with a pen-readable dot next to it – simply hold the pen over the correct dot to find the answer. If you get it right, the end of the pen lights up in green; get it wrong and the end of the pen turns red. There is also an option to add sound effects to the lights – slightly gloomy sounding noise if you get it wrong, a series of cheerful jingles when right.The reading book includes activities based around: recognising lower and upper case letters that make the same sound; matching words to pictures; identifying missing letters; recognising missing vowels; matching words that use the same long vowel sound; unscrambling short words; identifying a missing word from a short sentence; and identifying ending sounds.The maths book features activities that include: counting and number recognition up to 20; identifying which is less/more; basic addition; basic subtraction; using basic bar graphs; making sensible estimates as to which of two things is heavier/lighter/taller/longer/shorter; shape recognition of 2 and 3D shapes.These are good and basically reusable workbooks. The activities are well laid-out and in line with Reception-Year 1 learning. The books come with sets of star stickers and instructions to add one of these to a page when the page has been completed. If you ignore this nonsense, and just award a star and keep a record of what has been completed then the book is completely reusable between children in a class or multiple children at home.This came with largely recyclable packaging, although the box was sealed with three large stickers (one would probably have sufficed), and the pen wrapped in a plastic bag.

This is ideal for little learners. I’d probably say age 4 as the content is Reception / year 1 level.In the set you get 2 spiral bound books and 1 hot dots pen reader. The batteries are not included for the pen but they are definitely required! You’ll need 3 AAA batteries for it.It’s really easy to use. Once you show your child once, they’ll understand what to do. The questions are focused on reading and maths. The child then chooses their answer from a multiple choice list and puts the pen on it. If it’s right, the pen lights up. Really engaging and exciting for little ones. If you wanted to, you can also add the sound effect.These books are great for some extra home learning.Overall I’d recommend this product. It does feel a little pricey at the current selling price of over £33. However, it’s a reusable resource to help with home learning and it is much more fun for children than ordinary paper and pencil.

Ce kit est vraiment génial, complet et très simple d'utilisation, seul hic.. il est en anglais. Pas vraiment dérangeant pour ma grande de 9 ans qui arrive quand même à comprendre et à expliquer à son petit frère de 5 ans. Un peu plus compliquer sur le français sur les sons mais ça va c'est gérable.Les piles dans le stylo ne sont pas fournis.Possibilité de mettre le son du stylo + la lumière ou juste la lumière.Vraiment très ludique !

The media could not be loaded.  Este pack trae dos libros y su bolígrafo examinador (necesita dos pilas AAA que no incluye), la didáctica es desarrollar su físico y coordinación entre ojo y mano, ya que tiene que llevar el boli al punto correcto. Está todo en inglés, con lo cual le enseñamos otro idioma y las matemáticas.El bolígrafo tiene un botón que sirve para quitarle el sonido y solamente se iluminaria en verde si la opción es correcta y en rojo si es incorrecta, luego si pulsamos de nuevo el botón, haría ruidos positivos si la respuesta es OK y ruidos negativos si es incorrecta y si pulsamos de nuevo el botón, los sonidos que haría serían iguales pero subido de volumen.Trae muchas actividades como: diferenciar las letras mayúsculas de las minúsculas, encontrar la letra que falta para completar la palabra, que palabra sería la figura presentada, elegir la palabra para completa la frase, cuanta figuras hay, cual es el numero que falta en la serie de números, señalar las figuras que se parezcan a la que se pide, suma y resta, conteo de animales, diferenciar cual es más alto, más bajo, más pesado, más ligero, más largo, etc. Al final de cada libro aparece una hoja con pegatinas de estrellas de cada color, sirve para pegarla cuando completes ese nivel.Este juguete es seguro, las hojas son de buen grosor y plastificadas con lo cual son resistentes y todos sus bordes están redondeados, la espiral donde recoge las hojas haciendo un total de 50 páginas es de plástico.

Auch in diesem Fall wurde ich vom Set 2 nicht enttäuscht, wobei hier ansonsten im Wesentlichen die gleichen Aussagen gelten.Während für viele das Thema „Homeschooling“ ein Alptraum ist, können sich die Kleinen noch eher daran erfreuen. Im Kindergarten ist es zwar auch ganz schön, aber: wann geht es endlich in die Schule ? Da viele bereits Kenntnisse in Mathematik und Lesen zur Einschulung mitbringen, kann es anfangs dort allerdings schnell langweilig werden…Hier setzt Set 1 an. Aber man ist zumindest vorbereitet und verliert nicht den Anschluss. Ist man erst in der Schule, spricht einiges dafür, das erlernte Wissen spielerisch zu vertiefen. Hier setzt dann Set 2 an.Mittels Stift werden hier die bunten 50-seitigen Spiralbücher durchgearbeitet. Akustische Signale geben ein entsprechendes Feedback (richtig/ falsch). Auf jeden Fall macht das Ganze Spaß und erste Lernerfolge motivieren zum weiteren Üben, was natürlich vor allem auch allein gut möglich ist. Farbige Zeichnungen, Buchstaben und Zahlen tragen zum weiteren, kindgerechten Lernen bei.Dass hierbei „Englisch“verwendet wird, ist übrigens kein Manko: ganz im Gegenteil. Denn es gibt natürlich auch hierzulande rein Englisch sprechende Kinder bzw. Haushalte, in denen neben Deutsch auch Englisch gesprochen wird. So wird das Englisch gefördert und unterstützt die sprachliche Schulung. Alles in allem ein schönes Set, das noch ohne Tablet, aber dennoch zeitgemäß für Kinder im frühen schulfähigen Alter (5+) geeignet ist. Da übrigens auch die Verarbeitung, Aufmachung und Optik des Sets (inkl. Inhalt ) punkten können, gibt es hier die volle Punktezahl.

The media could not be loaded.  Juguete educativo e interactivo orientado a niños de más de 5 años, pero que viene totalmente en inglés.Vienen 2 cuadernos, uno con actividades de matemáticas y otro de lectura, con una descripción muy breve de la actividad a realizar en la parte superior de cada página, y varias respuestas para cada actividad, de las cuales sólo una es correcta. Cada respuesta viene con un punto negro.Simplemente consiste en pulsar sobre el punto de las respuestas con el bolígrafo interactivo, y en éste se iluminará la parte superior en rojo si hemos fallado o en verde si hemos acertado. A su vez podemos activar y desactivar los sonidos que emite el boli interactivo pulsando el único botón que tiene. Los sonidos son distintos en caso de acertar o fallar.Los cuadernos de actividades me parecen de calidad excelente, reistentes, durarán tiempo, aunque no sé si los puntos negros se pueden ir desgastando, en principio no tiene pinta.El bolígrafo funciona con 2 pilas AAA, que se insertan por la parte trasera, en el compartimento protegido por un pequeño tornillo.Está muy bien, pero se olvidaron de poner en la descripción que es la versión inglesa (desconozco si hay versión española), así que sólo es útil para niños con un nivel alto de inglés, y mucho vocabulario, que con 5 años es poco habitual en España. El de matemáticas todavía se les puede ir traduciendo, pero el de inglés, en el que hay actividades sobre el sonido de las vocales, por ejemplo, ya es más complicado salvo que los padres también tengan un buen nivel de inglés, que es más improbable todavía.

Ich habe das Set ausgesucht um die ersten Schritte der englischen Sprache den Kindern näher zu bringen. Eigentlich ist es sicher für das Grundschulalter englischsprachiger Kinder vorgesehen, aber auch deutschsprachige Kinder die in der Schule erste Berührungspunkte mit dem Englischen sammeln, können von der Lernhilfe profitieren. Da der Stift nicht mit den Kindern spricht und Buchstaben oder Lerninhalte nicht wiederholt ist es wichtig dass ein Erwachsener das Kind zu Beginn unterstützt. Die Aufgabenstellung muss vorgelesen werden, am optischen Signal (grünes Licht/rotes Licht) und auch wenn man möchte mit akustischen Signal (verschiedene Töne) kann das Kind seinen Erfolg unmittelbar erkennen.Es gibt zwei Bücher (Sprache/Buchstaben und Zahlen/Mengen). Beide sind kindgerecht aufgebaut und der Schwierigkeitsgrad nimmt zum Ende hin zu.Die Qualität der Hefte ist gut und auch der Stift ist gut verarbeitet. Batterien liegen nicht bei (2x AAA) und müssen separat bestellt/gekauft werden.Mein Fazit:Für Kinder die ihre ersten Berührungspunkte mit der englischen Sprache haben und diese spielerisch vertiefen wollen, ist das Set eine gute Möglichkeit. Ein Erwachsener sollte die Kinder dabei begleiten, da der Stift leider nicht mit den Kindern spricht. Das gibt dann auch 1 Stern Abzug, daher vergebe ich gute 4 Sterne.
