This product seems decent
I have not yet used this product, however the only problems I've had was the directions for the rail. They were a little confusing. Also the tools are sharp and I cut my finger on one. Plus I had to use a sledgehammer to set one of the threaded nuts that are welded in deeper to allow the bolt to thread in. It was setting a little high on one side.

Owners manual needs help.
I yet to attach it to my chain saw to do some cutting the enclosed owners manual could stand improvements and the center support bar has too much slop in it.

Product does the job but has shortcomings.
This product could be top notch if it wasn't for the hardware holding it together. The mill frame is great, however, someone welded the scale on one height adjustment arm backwards, so it is a devil to match the height accurately. The hardware is garbage, and the main problem for both the guide rails and mill. It doesn't take very long for them to strip out when adjusting for a cut. Also, when milling, the leveling screws on the guide frame unscrew due to the saw vibration, and your cut can become uneven. Most problems can be addressed with better hardware; If you choose to buy this product just know you will probably need to add another 10-20 dollars to upgrade it, including an additional nut for each leveling screw.

Sturdy and light weight.
Bought this to cut planks from black walnut and pecan. Once it was all assembled ( directions were “ok” but still could be better) I tried it on the black walnut and it was great. Worked fine on pecan but it is so hard it took forever to cut 2planks. Take your time on assembly and set up before actually cutting. I have an 18” bar on a Stihl saw and it worked fine but I can see where a longer bar and heavier duty saw would be preferable. Some bolts wanted to work loose so keep an eye on that as you work. I read a review or two that stated the measurements stamped into the upright bars was off by 5/8”. Mine were too until I reassembled the outside upright bar. Now they match up fine.

Poor design. Clamping structure to hold mill onto bar doesn't work. Dangerous
Design and quality very poor. Clamping elements that attach the chainsaw bar to the mill are inadequate. the pads that connect with the bar are too smooth and poorly welded. It is impossible to tighten it enough to hold it in place. When it slides out of place it will cut through the metal bolts and causes a very dangerous situation. It also ruins your chain. If you tighten it any more the cheap metal tubes will bend out of shape. No real fix that I can see. Save your money - don't buy this. Product support is non-existent. You're on your own.

Just as good as the ones priced for much much more
So the only thing that was a little annoying is that the nose guard for the chain is too big to clamp the bar's nose if you use it, but you really don't need that though. I really like the way the guides attach with just a little tap with the hammer and the way they are modular in 3 pieces, if you wanted to do a longer than 9-foot log even a lot longer you could just move the first section to the front fairly easily. Directions kinda sucked but I think most could get it together with no instructions anyway.

Works great though instructions were a bit suspect
Once you get past the sub par instructions for assembly it actually works great. Was skeptical to say the least but actually pleasantly surprised. Coupled with a Husqvarna saw it makes very clean, straight cuts through walnut and cherry so far. Actually not disappointed at all.

Ok product but I wouldn't do it again
The product itself pretty straightforward and it does what it's meant to do. The rails are sturdy and lightweight, the multi-tool included is junk so be prepared to carry necessary tools. Adjusting the thickness of cut is a bit frustrating but not the end of the world. The instructions are pretty much useless but I didn't find it difficult to assemble like some others have said, just time consuming as there are a lot of nuts and bolts. However, I wouldn't buy this (or any one like it) again. It's a great idea until you're actually out using it. Chains dull quickly (even ripping chains) and it takes a fair amount of effort to cut, plus setup, storage, and cost of the equipment. If you're only wanting a few boards you'd be better off buying them. If you want a lot of boards I'd suggest a real mill. This just doesn't really fit in anywhere to me.
