This has been one of the best purchases we've made all year! Prior to AQUA TRU, we were buying the 6-pack of 1L Essentia Water (approximately $10/pack) x3 every two weeks or so, so on a per-week basis, we were spending $15 on water. My SO is very picky about her water, so I did a ton of research regarding the bottled water process and reverse osmosis; I also looked into the under-the-sink and on-the-counter options as well, but as we are living in a small 1B/1b apartment, our options were limited. I decided to get the AQUA TRU about 3.5 weeks ago, and it has been well worth the money. The instructions were very easy to follow, and there is a YouTube video to help with the setup process as well (very straightforward). We are also drinking more water as a result! By my estimate, we are drinking the equivalent of about a 6-pack of 1L Essentia Water a day now (or more!), so about $10/day. It will take us approximately 50 days for the AQUA TRU to pay off, and only about a week's worth of Essentia Water for annual maintenance with buying new filters. We are also using the filtered water to make coffee/tea/ice, and we are using the waste water to water our plants. This is not even factoring in the benefits of reducing plastic waste, physically hauling the water bottles, trips to the grocery store when water is low, etc. As mentioned before, my SO has been very picky with water "tasting like nothing," and AQUA TRU does that perfectly. My only concern is the longevity of the product, and only time will tell if it can last well past its worth. Also keep in mind that when going away for a while (i.e., not filtering water for a long stretch), it is recommended to use the RO-filtered water to occupy the filters via filling the tap water reservoir with filtered water. I did this when I was gone for a while and also while moving into a new apartment, and there were no issues with AQUA TRU resuming its duties. As an aside, the filtering ratio of the AQUA TRU (1 gallon tap water ~ 0.75 gallons RO-filtered water) is one of the best on the market; some of the under-the-sink RO filtration systems are 1:5 tap to filtered, and some of the comparable countertop ones are 1:5 as well. Also, the other countertop ones have predetermined amounts of water dispensed, but the AQUA TRU system has a clean water reservoir, so it keeps a ton of water available when needed. I can't say enough good things about AQUA TRU. To its creator(s), thank you!

It works and works well!. You'll be amazed at the filtered water and also surprised at how much near sewage is removed. Your unfiltered public water is dirty. Public water system health reports are ridiculous. There are actually acceptable levels of hundreds of chemicals in public water. I have had independent studies done on my public water and the water filtered by this unit. Night and day. Public water is dark and dangerous. The filtered from this unit, clear clean and healthy. Don't trust your health to the government. Public water is harmful and, as is common, your government is lying about public water safety. So, how do I really know? I worked for the last year at my local wastewater treatment plant. Horrific. Those same entities test outgoing points and intake for supposedly acceptable intake points. The data often shows pollution above "standards" and the data recording is falsified. Don't go after that government monster... you will lose. Just take care of it at home and drink clean.

THIS UNIT DIED WITHIN roughly 3 years. OVER $400 PURCHASE DYING IN 3 YEARS! I bought this unit on November 2, 2021. I have diligently washed the carafe pitcher and tank each week since.Followed directions to the t. I am very responsible with my appliances because I need to be: I am retired and on a fixed income. It has stopped working today. I followed the directions online for when it stops working but it has not worked. I even tried plugging the unit into another part of my kitchen. I spent over $400 for this. I am single and so the water production was minimal. Wirecutter failed me for the first time. I bought this because Wirecutter claimed that this was the best back in November 2021. Well it is not! Spending over $400 for something that breaks within exactly 3 years and 4 months means in my opinion that the machine is crap!

After only 3 months, IT STOPPEDWORKING. I purchased it some time ago for around $550+300 for the minerals. I was expecting a substantial amount of drops but only received a single small bottle. THIS PRODUCT IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE EVEN IF IT WORKED FOR 10 YEARS.

First, I do not give reviews unless I REALLY like or dislike a product. There is nothing like this product on the market that I could find. I also live in an apartment and needed a countertop unit. I know the benefits of reverse osmosis water and this brand came highly recommended. So, I decided to invest and see how it could benefit me. Ordered on April 7, 2025. I recently went to the VA and tasted their water. I will never again drink water from any other source than my unit. I could taste the metallic taste from their water fountain. This unit is very easy to use and understand. I also tested the water output from this unit and was greatly pleased. Be aware, with an RO system, one must add minerals back into one's diet. The replacement filters are somewhat costly, but I have not had to replace them in the 8 months that I have had my unit. As for the cost of minerals and replacement filters, JUST HOW MUCH IS BETTER HEALTH WORTH TO YOU? If I lived in my own house, I would invest in an installed unit from this company. Cost is about $1000 and well worth it. One last thing, be sure to order the AquaTru Countertop Sliding Tray when you purchase this unit. The cost is about $30 on Amazon. It will make the unit much more convenient.
