We love this dye, and the fish love it too. When the dye is in, the fish can be seen clearly swimming high on sunny days, as the water is shaded nicely for them. It also keeps down the algae. We were paying $300 a month for a lake maintenance company to manage our spring fed 1 acre pond. Then we decided to diy it. This color is much prettier than the one the maintenance company used. We now also get our algeacide from Amazon...treat it with that every 2 weeks....just like the company did, then apply this once a month. A full bottle for our 1 acre. This system has saved us so much money! The algeacide we use is the $35 one. Great diy combo for crystal clear, pristine water. It turns out pond into a tropical paradise! It actually lasts longer than a month! As it starts to fade a bit, I retreat. I prefer mine very colored. You can go months before adding. When you get lots of rain, you will need it a bit sooner. It's safe for our fully stocked pond, and we even have foot long goldfish, and it's safe for them all.

Added to 1 gal of water and pump sprayed around pond. Pond is approximately 3/4 of an acre. Really pretty the next morning.

Worked great. Did just what it said it would. The water is much more clear and there isn't nearly as much algae. I was late getting control of the algae because this is my first year with a pond. This stuff is great. Will buy again.

I bought this after fighting a losing battle against algae in my small pond. Crystal blue water seemed like a luxury, but this war was getting expensive so I figured "what the heck" Since it was just a small pond and not a lake I used only about a 1/8 cup. That was entirely too much! The water turn an opaque sapphire blue! Which would have been fine but I have a waterfall which now looked very artificial with all the blueberry colored water cascading. I figured my husband would never let me hear the end of it, but he liked the effect. Best of all, no more algae! That 1/8 cup did more good than about $500 worth of repeated algaecide and it's diminishing effects. I really like that this doesn't seem to stain. It does leave a powery blue residue at the pond edge as it evaporates, but it seems to wash away. The rocks of the waterfall have a bit of a turquoise tint, but it's not a bad look. Given how a little goes a long way, I would say I have a lifetime supply. Update: Its been about nine months and I am finally adding more. I can verify that this does not leave permanent stains on the rocks in my waterfall, even though they are very porous and get very soaked. Couldn't be happier.

Properly packaged and shipped on time. A little pricey in my opinion and no matter what I do, I get blue dye everywhere. However it seems to last and helps slow down plant growth which means less work maintaining the pond. I waffled on a fifth star but the price is what brought it down. I might try another brand one day but if it ain’t broke…. My pond is 0.1 acres and this bottle will last me one and a half seasons.
