Review is for the Neewer 18 inch ring light. I point out several negative things in my review, but that does not mean this is a bad product. It is a good product I would recommend. I purchased this to better illuminate products I sell. I also use it for live streaming. It is extremely bright and at its max could be temporarily blinding. I would suggest not using full brightness until you are familiar with it. The brightness is easily adjusted with a dial at the base of the light. Setting the brightness a little less than half way works well for pictures of products. Setting it to Half way is a sweet spot For live streaming. The light looks natural and colors are true to life. I use the frosted covers to help diffuse the light. The quality of light is excellent. Pictures I take with my phone look just as good with the ring light as they would in natural light. Using the light with a webcam looks amazing. The ring light is extremely large. I did not consider just how large an 18 inch light is prior to ordering. Make sure you can accommodate such a large light. It is an eye sore. It's Not something you want to keep out on display. Fully extended it is very tall and if bent at the gooseneck or joint will easily topple over. It is very top heavy. I attach a couple of bungies to something sturdier to help secure it. The stand can be adjusted to many different heights. The light turns in any direction. The phone cradle works for taking pictures without shadowing, but It is flimsy and a bother to adjust. It can be removed and replaced as there is a 1/4 inch screw. The legs are wonky and if used any other way than extended outward flat will make it unstable. The ring light does come apart from the base so it can be hung or mounted if needed. Adjusting the knobs, gooseneck, and joints to get the light positioned properly can be cumbersome. A few other things I want to mention. The light puts off barely any heat. It comes with instructions, but the translation is bad. It's not the easiest to set up, but If you can program a VCR you won't have any problem setting it up. The build quality is cheap. I don't expect The stand and knobs to last more than a few years. The actual ring light while it is cheap seems like it will last much longer. I haven't used the remote. The orange covers for light diffusion serve no purpose. The clear covers make a big difference. I didn't use them at first, but after trying them I use them all the time. The carrying bag is nice, but I never take the light anywhere so I don't use it. To summarize my review of the Neewer 18 inch ring light. The quality of light and brightness are excellent. It is so much better than other ring lights I have used. Take size into consideration. Build quality is cheap, but is average For similarly priced ring lights. I can definitely recommend the Neewer 18 inch ring light. The only reason I won't give five stars is the cheap build.

This light is BRIGHT, the stand is sturdy, and it’s super easy to move around. It’s just all around a good quality light. I couldn’t recommend it more.

L’acquisto è stato motivato dalla necessità di eliminare condizioni di luce precaria e spiacevoli ombre durante le registrazioni e di migliorare la qualità delle immagini video da postare su YouTube. Prodotto ricevuto nei tempi promessi da Amazon, ben imballato e non danneggiato (alcuni utenti avevano segnalato la rottura del fragile led o dei filtri in plastica da applicare, fortunatamente tutto OK). All’interno la confezione della ring light troviamo: un secondo imballo che contiene il cavalletto e il supporto flessibile, una comoda borsa nera con cerniera che cela la ring light vera e propria ed un'altra scatola più piccola: aprendola si trovano il libretto di istruzioni (in più lingue tra cui l’italiano), l’alimentatore di corrente, i due filtri (formati ciascuno da nr°4 elementi in plastica) uno a luce calda e l’altro a luce fredda, il supporto per la macchina fotografica, la staffa per applicare lo smartphone, ed infine il telecomando Bluetooth che ci consente una vola configurato e collegato al proprio smartphone, di comandare gli shooting a distanza (nel caso in cui vi stiate fotografando o riprendendo da soli). Il montaggio della ring light è semplice, le istruzioni sono chiare (sul foglio a colori troverete una sequenza di immagini step by step di facile comprensione) e non si incontrano particolari difficoltà. La struttura del cavalletto è solida e sufficientemente stabile (non siamo ai livelli dei cavalletti della Manfrotto…), ed è realizzata in tubi di alluminio con più sezioni di allungamento, serrate da maniglie in plastica, che permettono di allungare la ring light secondo le proprie esigenze, fino ad una altezza massima di circa 2 metri, inoltre il tratto terminale su cui verranno montate le luci è composto da un supporto flessibile (un tubo flessibile rigido in metallo) che permette di incurvare la ring light per illuminare un banco da lavoro o un tavolo. A seconda delle necessità e dell’illuminazione che desiderate ottenere, dovete applicare sul telaio in ferro della ring light gli appositi filtri: uno per ottenere luce calda (di colore arancione) e l’altro per una luce fredda (di colore bianco), installarli e rimuoverli è semplicissimo poiché si fissano a scatto esercitando una leggera pressione. La luce della ring light è composta da una moltitudine di led (gli ho testati e funzionano tutti) e forniscono una illuminazione di 5500L max., l’intensità della luce è regolabile attraverso un trimmer posto sotto la struttura, agendo sullo stesso è possibile accendere e spegnere la luce. Dopo aver fatto un poco di pratica e diverse prove, ho potuto eliminare alcune fastidiose “ombre dure” durante i primi piani, ed in alcuni casi migliorare l’illuminazione dell’ambiente in cui ho registrato i video (questo grazie anche all’elevato diametro della ring light), attenzione però: la ring light non potrà mai sostituire un paio di soft light nel caso vogliate dare luce a grossi ambienti ed ottenere una illuminazione più pulita e omogenea (più vi allontanerete, maggiore sarà la dispersione della luce, soprattutto in locali o stanze di grandi dimensioni). Il prodotto nell’insieme è davvero ottimo e serve allo scopo, mi sento di consigliarvelo.

Compré este aro de luz para mejorar la iluminación en mis vídeos de TikTok y YouTube, y ha sido una gran elección. Es bastante grande (48 cm), da una luz blanca muy potente pero regulable, así que puedes ajustarla según el ambiente o lo que estés grabando. Viene con un trípode estable y robusto, mucho mejor que otros que he probado. También incluye soporte para el móvil, y queda justo en el centro del aro, lo que hace que la iluminación sea uniforme y favorecedora. Lo he usado también para sesiones de fotos, directos, e incluso para maquillarme, y va genial en todos los casos. Muy buena calidad de luz, montaje fácil y resultados súper profesionales. Si estás buscando un aro de luz grande y fiable, este vale totalmente la pena.

I have had this for a year. I do love it and I love how tall it is and easy to store. However the legs after - once a week filming use (if that) have become wobbly and now it doesn't stand up straight. My other question is how can I use it to film with two smartphones? Is there a special adapter thingie. Better quality then my previous purchases
