I grew up reading this Bible as a child.... No idea where that copy went, but I'm so pleased to replace it with this beautiful copy, just like I remembered!The stories are well told, without being too gruesome in the details so it's reasonable for children. (Except Jephthah's daughter, I hate that one lol.) The illustrations are excellent, pleasing to the eye and very clearly add to the comprehension of the storytelling.Also included are scholarly asides with real photographs.... These are the real gems of the book! Seeing what the places, people, and things look like are invaluable. I was utterly fascinated by them as a child, and remembered them even after I lost my original copy.I cannot recommend this book enough!

I wish every child could have a illustrated Bible and parents who would read to them. It would be a much better world then what we see now.

I love this book. i bought it for my friend's children. they all love it. the illustration are beautiful. I recommend this book for everyone that want to learn about the bible. also for parents to read to it to their kids or to older people ones that have trouble reading. my dad used to love it.

I am new to reading the Bible, so I bought this book to assist me with my readings. Very informative and illustrations help. On the New Testaments and know this was the best purchase to assist me.
