With the laptop in there it’s just fine and definitely won’t be blowing anywhere!

I think so -- yes. I have a 15" MacBook Pro and there isn't a lot of room.

Look at one of the lower corners and you will see a tiny cloth tag that has instruction to fold. I know it is hard to find and ony says to move the two snaps toward each other so not very obvious. In any case it is easy to fold... here is how to do it: 1. place on table of flat surface in front of you with the opening towards you and locate two two small webbing with snaps on them....one top and one bottom. 2. take the snap point (at the upper V) and push it down towards the bottom and towards the back a bit. You will notice the sides will come into two circles. 3. position the circle on the left side under the circle on the right side (the storage pounch will than be on top) 4. Continue to push down and it will naturally fold upon itself with the storage pocket on top and the two circles stacked on top of each other. 5. Push it all down and even up while pulling the storage pouch over the whole thing by working the elastic around. This should be a fast easy process....it only takes me seconds to do. By the way you can store the extra piece that is designed to go over your head for extra shading either inside the device or in the storage pouch area when collapsed. I use mine for solar astrophotography so the sun shade is wonderful....keeps the laptop and me from getting so hot and also provides nice shading of the laptop screen in bright sun. There are competing products but the silver outer is far siuperior for keepiing things cool inside compared to the others which are black on the ouside also.
