Great Teach Yourself Book
A friend referred me to take a look at this teach yourself book. This teach yourself book is excellent in walking you through what Windows 11 can do, and as the title says, "Teach Yourself Visually", that it does. The author starts you off on how to use this book, and if you follow the information that is there you can't mess up. He provides steps to take, alerting you to specific notations, certain icons and buttons. Additionally, you're given tips that include heads up warnings as well as shortcuts. If you are a visual person like I am, you're provided with actual screen examples of what the author is explaining for you to do if that is what and how you are wanting to set-up wind11 for your personal ease of use (being able to understand the instructions learning to maneuver through the features of Wind11. The various chapters are color coded which is attractive to your sense of sight to understand and interact with the information you're learning. The language is simple and straight forward, and I found the instructions are easy to follow. I difinitely recommend this book, and if it was possible, I would give it 6 stars.

The pictures and accompanying walkthrough steps are easy to follow - bought this for a family member who has real difficulty working with computers. It’s a great resource.

SO FAR ...
it's walking me through the WIN 11 park. I can't say I'm 100% just having switched from being a MAC person for 10-15 years, BUT, this is the new reality for me (for now) & so far, this book has taken me through the basics. I DO LIKE that WIN 11 HAS come around to a more "Mac" look & feel (kind of) ... but it's still taking me forever to figure out HOW to set up files, transfer data & the such. It's like I'm afraid to touch anything yet. I'm still in Chapter 1 and will likely REPEAT IT until I have it down like breathing ... then onward & forward. I like how it is set up and has a step-by-step format for each task you learn. I LOVE THAT. Well written and for me, SLOW & STEADY is the only way I can function with a total OVERHAUL coming off my MAC. I am enjoying this book A LOT! The author has done a great job of covering the very beginning basics for people like me, and takes you one step at a time down the rabbit hole. Enjoying the journey, even if I am going at a snails pace. Thanks for a great beginning into the WIN world.

For brand new computer users only.
I gave this booklet five stars because it is the best I've seen if you're a beginner and just don't have a clue about Windows or using a computer at all. It would be very helpful to someone who wants to learn it fast and be guided quickly and not have to read it for themselves. I'll admit though, some things do require a bit of a search or an Einstein thinking cap to decipher the text (because the writers were asleep when they wrote it) and the booklet would be helpful there as well. That being said, a seasoned user of Windows would find as I did, the booklet (that someone else gifted to me) was absolutely and absurdly, basic! It was of no use at all and meant for someone who simply doesn't know computers at all and have no prior experience with Windows, or someone who has trouble understanding what they read and can go by the pictures. It is very, very basic, I thought, not what I was hoping when I received it; that it might help me to understand things w=ith wi=hich I could use some helped without having to research it, not the basic functions that are so obvious or that just require a bit of reading or searching!I'm sure the booklet was gifted to me to help me get a better understanding of Windows 11, not just the basics! It means they must have thought the same way I did, that it might be of some help other than just what basic reading of instructions provided already in front of you on the computer itself would do! The only section I found useful was the section on security beginning on page 290 of a 316 or so page booklet (excluding the table of contents and the index which uses 21 pages). Windows 11 is no more complicated than any other WinVer that has gone before, it just takes use and a little time to READ! And in this day and age, I think everyone over the age of 6-8 knows full well how to do that!

Don't Know
So far, I can't make up my mind. The pictures are hard to see and they don't look anything like my computer. I'll keep trying to see if this will be helpful.

The best series
I’ve used this series of books for myself and my wife for years when upgradeing through the various versions of windows. The illustration make it much easier than just reading text and trying to match that to what you are seeing on the screen

The Windows 11 Bible
I've used the 'Teach Yourself Visually' books since buying my first computer with Windows 95. They've always been easy to follow with plenty of screenshot directing the reader to what they can actually see and showing how to complete tasks. It's not a read from cover to cover type book, it's your Windows 11 Handbook, your Bible and your Go-To Guide whenever you ask yourself how to complete a certain task. Even for a seasoned Windows user it's the handy help to complete tasks that are usually second nature but that have been changed due to the new layout or structure of tye new Operating System. I'd thoroughly recommend it for everyone, especially those buying their first computer.
