Chocolate Company Sweet Ground Chocolate & Cocoa Gourmet Powder 3 lbs with Ghirardelli Stamped Barista Spoon

I have been using this product since I discovered it in San Francisco grocery stores in the mid-1970s. The old Ghirardelli factory and warehouses are now Ghirardelli Square, a mall with shops and restaurants in the Marina district. You cannot find this product in stores in the Midwest, Northeast, or South, but you can get it delivered from Amazon! This product is a blend of ground chocolate and cocoa powder with added sugar and vanilla flavoring. It makes the best hot chocolate imaginable; just stir in spoonfuls to taste into hot milk, no need for any other ingredients. It is also a great substitute for baking cocoa powder or baking chocolate; you just have to adjust the sugar in the recipe since this product has some sugar in it and add some butter or oil when substituting for baking chocolate squares. The can tells you how to substitute it. It makes the best brownies I have ever eaten, and I use it to make chocolate cakes, chocolate frosting, chocolate fudge, and mocha coffee. Not cheap, but worth the price for its versatility and superior flavor.

This has been the best [premade] hot chocolate powder I have used. When added to hot milk, it's silky and not overly sweet; it's what you want when it's cold or just because. The container seals well, despite my humid location, no issues. The container has been lasting me about a month with almost daily use and using a large mug; great value. I will be buying it again. I have used the mix to make chocolate pudding and it was perfect, I didn't have to add more sugar to my recipe. The added scoop was nice making it an easy measure, plus for baking later, it's good quality.

Oh sometimes I like to indulge myself and have a hot chocolate, especially when there is snow outside, cold weather, I hurt my finger, LOL....well I can come up with any silly excuse! I do use it sparingly because it is really good and addictive for those of us who love chocolate. It is truly THE BEST! Oh, and being that my hubby and I use containers and try to think about our planet so we recycle, this container can be used for many things. If you don't want to look at the label or put your own label on it, you can get the label off and do your thing. Love that chocolate!!!

This is the best tasting white chocolate flavoring. Wish it wasn't so expensive.

Deeper Chocolate flavor. If you’re a hot chocolate lover on these cold winter days, you’ll love this delicious Ghirardelli version. My wife especially loves adding two shots of espresso. Soooo much better than what you get from Swiss Miss and other lesser quality varieties.
