High power
pretty good tool. enough power for cement or concrete. it is not as compact as more expensive models (extended) but has the same amount of joules of power. so if you need a workhorse this is a great option.pros: power; works with low ampere batteries. (for example, my hand saw only works with batteries from 6 amp-hour and above).cons: haven't found any yet

Great product
I first looked for a plug-in version by a different brand and it was a whooping $225. Then I found this one and it helped me break all the old tiles in my house with ease. Once you got the dewalt batteries, you're stuck to the brand. But I have a few waitley and it still did very well! Don't underestimate the power of this tool! Definitely worth especially for the price!

What a great SDS Hammer Drill to add to the fleet!
I have been a firm believer in Dewalt battery tools since the 18 volt oval battery days. After selling my 18 volt converted to a 20 volt SDS Drill a while back, I came across the need to own another, as a project to add 30 plus shelf standards attached to concrete basement walls came up. After looking at the Bosch corded - which i found hard to beat from past use, I instead went with a cordless SDS, the bare tool Dewalt SDS I am reviewing. This thing is light, and first thoughts was that it wouldn't keep up with what I was needing to do. But once I started drilling any concern was resolved, this thing was a beast. Coupled with the 60 volt Flexvolt, it drilled flawlessly for over an hour, a total of 115 holes drilled. This were 3/16" and posed no problem for the drill or the Bosch bits. I haven't tried a 1/2" or 3/4" hole, that day is yet to come, but form what I needed, this drill knocked it out of the park.

Great tool but get the right bits
Once I obtained the correct type bits (the ones with a slot for the quick connect) they cut through paver stones like a hot knife through butter. But make sure you get bits compatible with the quick connector. The Amazon page did not make this clear as a requirement causing me to have to return the first bits I purchased. Five stars for the drill, two stars for the Amazon page.

Unbeatable rotary hammer!
It's a Dewalt power tool. That sums everything up pretty much. I admit I haven't used it much at all minus as a regular drill since I got my SDS+ to 1/2" chuck adaptor. Will be removing a LOT of tile at home in the near future. The hammer isnt overly heavy, and definitely has the power necessary to destroy concrete when paired with a good chisel. You'll definitely want at least a 5AH battery for this bad boy. I went with 2 6AH to be safe. Whether you're hammer drilling, regular drilling [w/adapter chuck], or just plain hammering/chipping, this tool will get the job done. Only real complaint I have is they didnt put a light on this tool. My hammer drill has a light with 3 brightness settings. Even a non adjustable light would've made this thing perfect. If you're on the fence over this model or the compact, go for this one! It has more impact joules energy and costs waaaaaay less. If you're working in tight spaces though, then you'd definitely want the compact model.....obviously.Since I haven't had this tool very long, I'll update if any issues arise, but I don't foresee that happening. Fourth Dewalt brushless cordless tool and no issues with the first 3.....even after one fell into a pool for a couple of minutes. Dried out the impact driver and it's still kicking ass a couple of years later! You can't go wrong with Dewalt. Period.

Great dewalt hammer drill
Lots of power. Easy to use.Drills 3/4” holes into very hard concrete and rock with ease in seconds.Use water to keep bits cool and longer lived.
