It works fine indoors but I purchased the mat to keep our dog cool outside but it takes on heat and does not “recharge”. Our dog doesn’t even choose to lay on it unless it’s inside. If you wish to return the mat because of it’s ineffectiveness you will be charged a 20% restock fee and that’s ONLY if your mat is in new condition and in its original packaging. I get it, but send a sample of the material then, don’t punish us because your mat doesn’t work. If your dog used it, it won’t be in new condition, and in its “original packaging” (The conditions to return. Also 14 day refund) . Lots of options online, I’d recommend trying another solution, as this was not a solution for our dog, and overall a waste of money and time. Again, it’s fine for indoor use.

It’s starting to become a bit uneven. And lumps and dents are forming. And it’s barely used 1 week.

UPDATE: I’ve had this for almost a year and it’s still going strong! It’s getting hot again so I pulled it out and they immediately went to lay on it!Got this for my two cats. I live in an old apartment on a higher floor, and only have a portable AC. Needless to say summers get pretty hot! I got this mat to put next to my fan, and it definitely feels a few degrees cooler than the room when I stand on it! My boys love it so far, and I’ve only had it for a week, but so far it seems durable and scratch-resistant!

I have a 9 week old Goldendoodle, at night he sleeps with me and he would just squirm around and couldn’t get comfortable, and I assumed it was maybe because he was hot. I bought this and it is perfect! He barely moves a muscle at night, only thing I’d change is I wish I would’ve gotten a bigger one. I bought the M, he is 15 pounds but his legs hang off the bottom. I will definitely be buying a bigger one ASAP!

I’ve only had it two days, but clearly our double-coated dog approves. He has never slept up on the couch with us, he just gets too hot. Now he’s curled up against me on his pad snoozing away. I’m so happy!!!! I don’t care if it lasts 6 mos or 6 years - it’s worth it that he’s comfortable.
