Perfect for Bullet Journaling
As a bullet-journaler on the go, this was the perfect journal for me. I have ADHD, and bujo-ing has been one of the best ways to combat my symptoms and become incredibly productive. This journal is small enough that I can slip it into my purse, and the ideal size for journaling. The paper is luxurious and feels sturdy. While I don't know if I would recommend this journal for mixed-media art, as I haven't tested it with water, regular ink pen doesn't bleed. When I've used alcohol markers, the ink bleeds to the back of the page, but the next page is always clean. I got the coral, which is a super cute color (and the color has held up in my purse without getting too dirty). I love it!

Not A Soft Color
I love my moleskines. I buy one every 2-3 years. I choose my colors very carefully since I have to look like it everyday. This one was not the muted coral color that shows on the image. It’s more like a hot pink coral. I’m returning.

BUJO enthusiasts, look elsewhere!
The media could not be loaded. I haven't used a Moleskine notebook in over 10 years, but when I saw they had a 120gsm dotted journal (with page numbers!) I decided to treat myself. Moleskine has always had a reputation for being high quality and durable, but I'm already too disappointed to put the durability to the test.Moleskine has always had a ghosting problem with ink pens, but in the past they never bled through and I truly enjoyed the semitransparent look of their classic notebooks (not sure if the quality on those has changed in the last 10 yrs). I truly enjoyed using fountain pens with those notebooks, even if they took a little longer to dry. This paper is way thicker, and even though the ghosting is minimal to nonexistent I hate everything about this paper. The only pens I haven't had a problem with are ballpoints. Every ink based pen I've used suffers from major speckling, most notable in the grey Zebra Midliner Swatch on the Test Page). Even microns dry lighter and suffer from notable speckling, even worse with colored fine liners (Le Pen). The strange thing is, even if there's no ghosting on the other side there's still major bleed through. Microns, le pen, and other fine liners will all bleed through. I have yet to try fountain pens because I'm only on page 8, but my initial impressions tell me not to even try. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! The smudging is a HUGE problem. Everything from Pilot G2s to Microns to India Ink to Prisma Colored Pencil smudges. And I'm not just talking in the first few minutes. I've had swatches that still smudge days later. Also, if you use washi tape don't expect it to be removable. It ripped my paper like it was regular scotch tape.Congratulations Moleskine! You made a notebook that actively repels pens (and pen enthusiasts). This is the worst coated paper I've ever used, and even worse, I paid double what I've paid in the past for competitor products. I've yet to do half the things I do in a bujo because 8 pages in and I'm already looking for other options.I've attached some picture examples. This is my personal diary, so please ignore the part where I call Marcus Aurelius daddy. That's just how it is. The ones with lined paper is an old Moleskine classic with an italic nibbed fountain pen. As you can see there's some ghosting (from both the fountain pens and just about every other pen used) but NO BLEED THROUGH. The ink doesn't feather and you can clearly see the beautiful variability of fountain pen ink. These are two sides of the same page so you can see the fountain pen vs gel pen.The dotted journal is the lilac art collection logbook. On my goals page you can see the speckling on 3 different brands of fineliner. On my entry page you can see major ghosting and bleedthrough from the other side where I made a border with a Tombow brush pen. And that was just 1 layer! I didn't want to cover my entry so I just left it, but this is where I just gave up. The first 4 lines of swatches were done 2 weeks ago when I bought the journal. The rest were tests done today, I did timed smudge tests at 1 min, 10 min, and 1 hr. They all smudged, then I tested the lines from 2 weeks ago (which should be plenty dried) and it still smudged. Hopefully it's easier to make out in the video. Even a waxy colored pencil smudged like it was graphite.Long story short, if you enjoy writing with anything nicer than a ball point PICK A DIFFERENT JOURNAL. If you're into decorative mixed media journalling definitely go elsewhere. For this price you can find better.
