Very useful.
Have had this about 4 months and it has worked as it should. It heats or boils water and turns itself off a short time after water reaches boiling point. I have been using french coffee press or instant coffee lately and this gets the water hot vert quickly even at max fill. Blue light on when heating and goes off when done. Very useful.I have no idea how long it will continue to work. Most inexpensive products like this don't last too long.

Works great! Tea and Coffee!
I purchased this as gift for making tea. It's received high praise for being very nice looking and easy to use. So much so that I broke out my old Aeropress and have been using it on the sly for making a late-afternoon pick-me-up the last couple of weeks. My experience tracks: it heats the water up quickly, and is much better than using a kettle on the stove or heating up water in the microwave. I'm impressed with it's speed and the pouring spout is a nice touch to get the hot water exactly where you want it. I would add one watch-out with the pouring spout: it is glass and it does stick out enough to be functional. I've been pretty butterfingers with things lately so I have to be very aware when filling it not to bump it against the side of the sink. But, that's not a design law or a knock against the product at all, just a note of be careful with it!

No stay warm and super short cord
So this only boils water and shuts off. No way to keep warm. And the cord is super short! I will be returning. If all you want is to boil water- this does it and does it well! Just don’t like that it doesn’t have any way to keep the brewed tea warm or let it steep!

Excellent product!
I've had the 2.0L TOPWIT Electric Kettle Glass Hot Water Kettle for over 3 years and I use it practically every day. It is SUPER! The footprint on my kitchen countertop is only 6 inches round. If filled to the indicated line it never overboils or over steams. It has a cute blue light that tells you that it's on and automatically turns off when the water boils. The pot lifts easily off the base, no problem. If you turn it on but have to walk away, all you do is flip the toggle switch to off. Simple, elegant, PERFECT. The only thing you may not like is the cord to the base that it sits on is 22", but that's plenty for me since I have an electric outlet close by. ENJOY!

Design flaws
This is the 4th or 5th water boiler I have purchased, 3rd company, so I have some knowledge on how these things should function and what breaks down.1) The spout cannot poor quickly. If you tip the pitcher too much in order to get a faster poor, water will splatter all over. In actuality, the water poor is very slow.2) The on/off switch gets too hot. Hotter than on any water boiler I've used. It will burn your finger if you touch it too long after the water has boiled and it has switched off. Sometimes you want to hold the switch down for a few seconds to get the water to boil to it hottest point again, but you cannot do it on this model. The switch is too hot.3) All water boilers have issues with the handle at the top, where your hand wraps around it and your index finger underneath the handle. That area in the handle from the underside, gets hot from the switch. Some model designs are better than others, and all of them should be redesigned. The handle at the top is too big that you hand cannot hold it very well. The bottom of the handle is narrower and that is how the handle should be designed at the top, too.4) They should make the handles with a rubber coating and narrow. The spout should be able to poor better.5) The lid on a hinge is not really a good idea. A lid that comes completely off is much better, for both washing the pitcher, and when you place the pitcher in the sink to fill it up with water. The hinged lid is a bad design.6) The automatic shutoff switch on every water boiler I've owned (except 2) has burnt out and no longer shuts off automatically, which becomes a major fire hazard. You forget about having turned it on, and the water won't shut off and continues boiling and all the water evaporates in a matter of about 30 minutes or less, and your lucky if the bottom just burns up and does not catch fire. All companies should invest in superior automatic shutoff switches. This is a severe design, electrical engineering problem.7) The base that this pitcher sits on is flimsier than others I have owned. It wobbles and is lightweight.

Best kettle on Amazon
Had this for quite a while, always worked perfectly until a lady friend came over and dropped it right on the power button. I considered other options, but ultimately this one is the best designed and very reasonably priced, so ordered a 2nd one.
