LEGO The Batman Movie Batcave Break-in 70909 Superhero Toy

Went together fairly easily. Lots of repetitive parts which made it easy for my 6 year old (he got it for his sixth birthday). May not be super exciting for older kids. Everything is sturdy and playability is high. Definite bonus points for all the extra Batman costumes.

This is a really nice set. A lot of pieces, so good bang for the buck.. but it is not to big and doesn't take up to much room.....and my sons really loves it. The speedboat and duck are cool. I love the fact that it has 8 characters and holds multiple batmans and characters. Fun! I never bought my son a big set before as my son is four. I honestly now think it was better than all the little guys. My husband had to put it together with him, of course. It still is his favorite lego set at the moment!

I bought this and 6 months later, I have a wall of LEGO models on shelves in my bedroom.Be careful- watching the LEGO Batman movie pushed me to buy this (damn their effective marketing campaign), and now I have an addiction to LEGO.But it's not the worst thing- helps me unwind after long days and it's a nice little hobby that I picked up. :) If you're into LEGO, this is a solid set- but not necessarily for collectors. I think the minifigs are probably what makes this set for hobbyists, but for kids- it's a great little set that they'll enjoy.

From my 8-year-old: "I just got this set for my birthday! This set is very challenging to build, but it is worth it because it has an extraordinary size and it's fun to build along the way. I loved all the special features: the suit hanger, the knob that breaks out the criminals from jail, the batmerang holders, the giant bat computer, all the amazing vehicles, the turntable that controls the computer, and, last but not least, the part where you change Bruce Wayne into Batman by flipping a switch. This was the best Lego set I've ever opened!"

I bought this for my 9-year old son who is a HUGE Lego fan. And of course he had to see the Lego Batman movie almost immediately. And has since been collecting every Lego set from the movie with allowance money, etc. This set was his favorite. Had lots of characters with it and cool pieces. It was also much more affordable than it was at Target or Toys R Us. So a win win overall!

Your results may vary. I broke down and bought it for my son's six year old birthday. He was begging for it for a while because he already has a Lego Batmobile. Glad I did, kept him busy for days (voluntarily no tv and tablet while he worked to finish it) and he plays pretend with it on a regular basis. Lot's of little pieces so I suggest you setup on a table you won't be using for awhile with raised sides or a beach towel rolled up to provide a wall. He started on the floor near a heating vent and I'm sure you can figure out what almost happened next.

I've always wanted a Lego batcave, and this is by far the best one (even comparing it to the new Clayface Invasion set released in 2019). It was very fun to build, and doesn't take too much imagination to add to this and build it to be even bigger and better! The minifigures are great, and even if you're not a fan of all the goofy Batman costumes on the rotating suit display, you can just replace them with some suits of your own.

This was a birthday present. I was a little skeptical because of the price. It is a really nice set. It took us about 3 hours to put it all together. I have to admit, I thought it was pretty cool when we were done 😆
