Mr. Hair Color for Men, Dark Brown to Black Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, Reduces Grays in 15 Minutes For Hair & Beard, Nourishing & Strengthening, Keratin & Argan Oil, 2 Applications

I have used Madison Reed hair color for well over a year. The application might be a little messy, but is easy to do. I get nice coverage in both my beard and hair, and never have suffered a burn or rash. I use a half application once per week, as I have shorter hair and keep my beard trimmed short, this method has worked well for me.

I use the product for around 2 years and it is better than other products I tried before: 1. The concept of blending is that it will not cover completely all my gray. It looks very natural. 2. The stains in my face or arms when using this product, are easily gone with soap and water. 3. I need to apply twice a month. Probably you will find products that last longer. 4. My hair looks healthy as long I use a good shampoo. The chemicals in this product are not so aggressive.

I bought this product because it claimed to be “gentle,” “PPD-free,” and ideal for sensitive skin. I even followed every instruction to the letter — including a patch test, which showed no signs of irritation. But within 24 hours of applying it to my beard, I experienced severe redness, swelling, and burning. By the next day, my skin had developed weeping pustules, something I’ve never experienced with any grooming product in my life. This wasn’t a minor irritation — this was a full-blown skin trauma. I had to take antihistamines, stop all skincare, and now I’m seeking medical attention to treat what appears to be a chemical reaction or potential infection from this product. Not only was it physically painful and emotionally distressing, but it also completely disrupted my daily life. Madison Reed’s marketing is misleading at best and potentially dangerous for consumers with even a hint of skin sensitivity. If your face matters to you, avoid this product at all costs. I wish I had read a review like this before trusting it.

You said once it does change the color a little bit, but not noticeable. If you want a natural look and not too dark, this could be a good product.

Not impressed that much, the color only lasted a couple of weeks before i had to do it again but with a different product...

I'm allergic to most hair dye products. I have used this product for about 2 months now and have had no adverse reactions yet. The coloring is very natural. I cut my hair very short on the sides and find that I have to color more often, about every two weeks, because the grays grow out longer than the dyed hair, but the dye does stay for the two weeks. I like the product and would recommend.

I’m not a fan of the artificial look you get when using permanent hair dye on white hair. Along with the chemicals involved and unbearable smell of most ‘old school’ dyes. This is the future of hair dyes and I want my man living in the future! Herbal, non chemical, the results we got from 1 time were perfect. Big round of applause from us.

Not impressed by the results. Medium Brown had reddish hues. Color fades quickly.
