Clever and effective
Bought after a bed bug scare from a nasty holiday rental. It definitely kills all kinds of creepy crawlies from flies to beetles, the evidence is right there in the tray at the bottom of the bag. Couple of things to note: 1) the black plastic control unit gets VERY hot during operation which may or may not be normal! 2) the poles are difficult to place/remove and at least one does not fully fit, it's at the end of the bag but sticks out the top and no amount of wrangling makes it fit. Am super happy to have purchased this device though. Gives peace of mind and would recommend to anyone who travels or shares accommodation with someone who does. I run it on 8 hour cycles but check it periodically and the temperature consistently reaches or exceeds 145 degrees. If you've been unfortunate enough to bring home bugs and are washing bedding every day to eradicate, this is a possible alternative.

Expensive but works well
Easy to use and very useful in killing bugs Good customer service - they warned me I would need a transformer as it comes from the USA, although this should really have been included in the product description. They also were very helpful answering some follow up questions I had as well. Overall I rate this a good product and a good supplier. My only one small criticism is that the box makes it obvious what it is and this can be a bit embarrassing when your postman drops it off

Ineffective
It is so expensive, and doesn’t work not effective at all. Really small in size too The material is cheap therefore the zip does not actually tie everything up as it’s so stiff.

Not heating up enough
I think I got a faulty item. It doesn't heat up enough during the cycles... In the 2 hours cycle, it reached only 88F... not even near to the 118F. I tried again.. and no luck.. 2 hours cycle reached 86F.. Edited: Neither 2, 4 or 8 hrs cycles reached the temperature the 118F. Instead of returning the bag, I decided heating up the clothes with a hairdryer while putting them inside the bag to speed up the process... the heating bag reached uniform heat 120F in about 45 minutes and retained the heat for 30 minutes, enough time to kill any unwanted larve or egg. I have to be very vigilant on the heating, the bag carry on heating up above the 120F even after switching it OFF. The thermometer only provides temperature reading, but not an alarm. I used the kitchen oven thermometer with the long cable inside the bag for the heating alarm. I am keeping the bag and it make work faster with the hairdryer and controlling the heat with the kitchen thermometer. Not ideal or recommended by the manufacturer, but works. Not sure if I would recommend it.. but it reached the temperature with help, it is very well made. It will be better if it has some wheels to mive it around.. it provides a peace of mind so I am more incline to the yes 70/30.

The seller/company behind this heater are great, honest people. They are very kind and professional, they reduced the CAD price after I purchased it and then refunded me back the difference. The bag gave me a lot of reassurance after a long battle with the tiny things that we shall not name. I used it several days in a row, heat treating all of my belongings in batches. The bag did a stand up job and got everything to the temperature I needed it. It is very simple to use and very simple to pack up after. Nothing was damaged. I recently used it to heat treat a cat scratching post I ordered online as a preventative measure. I just set up the bag and threw the scratching post inside, turned it on for a couple hours and then it was taken care of and my worry was gone. I don't think it should be your front line defence if you're dealing with a problem, but it's a complimentary addition to other treatments and a great preventative measure if you travel a lot or order a lot of stuff online.

I hope you never need this, truly. If you do, buy this one. It worked really well. If you put books in it, take them out when they are done and DO NOT OPEN them for a few days. Give them time to completely cool and for the binding glue to harden up again. Lay them flat while they are cooling. If you do this, they will be fine. If you open the book before it is fully cooled, you will break the binding. Put in a book that you don't extra care about first and you will see. Do not put anything in them that can melt. If you wouldn't put it in the clothes dryer or dishwasher, it shouldn't go in here. Great for clothing, stuffed animals, wooden items, etc. Be careful when you load it. The items in it will soften while heating. I put a basket of stuffed animals in it. The basket came out misshapen because gravity acted on the wicker while it was soft. It definitely kills bugs and I would call it easy to use. I found it a good value for the money even though it was pretty expensive. I would have had to throw a lot of items out if I had not been able to heat treat them with this. We called it the Hotbox lol
