Q: anybody been able to self tap into hard 1/4" steel sheet?

I used them to tap into a 1/4 in. angle iron brick lintel. It sometimes required a second screw to get through the metal.

Q: With regard to the product buildex 1075000 1/4-28 x 4 tek 5 screws hex self-drilling climaseal (50 pack), is there any way to buy a smaller count?

I found none at the time I purchased.

Q: I need to attach 3/4 plywood to 1/8 angle iron are the threads long enough for that?

I'm 95% sure these are the screws I tried to use to screw into 1/8" thick hot dipped galvi tube. Even pre-drilling, the stainless couldn't get through. Also, I think the drill part was long enough that the threads won't get through the wood and into the steel.
