My old piggy bank broke during a move. I had no idea how much money was in it. So I decided after searching to purchase one that would count as I deposit. This is a very sturdy "plastic" and seems as if it should be durable. Cons: Coin slot is a bit hard to manipulate. If i had a difficult time pusjing the coins in initially, i would assume that a young child (under 13 years of age) would definitely need assisyance in adding their coins. However once you realize to push down and roll the coin to the left it does appear to become a tad easier. The handle/groove could be a little deeper to provide a better way to grip and pick up. Pro: As you can see the my pics this jug holds a substantial amount of coins. This was supposed to be all silver but with the odd number I think I dropped a few pennies in. After I got over the initial disappointment of not finding an original piggy bank, I came to the conclusion that this product is definitely a great value for the price paid. Once I was able to get into a good rhythm of putting the coins in, the performance that it puts out is pretty decent. The two AAA batteries I would assume should last a while since when the counter is not in operation, it allows the battery usage to be saved. Overall its cute, works well and I will more than likely order several more or maybe even a larger one if available for the remainder of my coins.

I bought it for my special needs Niece and the mechanism in the lid really intrigues her so she saves a lot more because she wants to see how much is going in to her bank, and I think that’s great.

This product doesn’t count correctly, I waisted my money buying it

Does keep correct denomination of change, but does not keep correct overall count. Otherwise easy to correct.
