I immediately made onion rings and devoured nearly all of them. The flavor is exactly as I remembered it from my childhood. I hasn't changed a bit!! I grew up in Michigan and Drakes was as popular in our hoiuse as salt and pepper.Amazon's shipping box as much too large and the 2 bags of Drake's., although sealed in sturdy plastic, couldn't stand up to the banging around. One bag split down the center an leaked all over inside the bag. Fortunately the bag contained the spill and was snug enough to keep the majority of the mix inside.

I love this batter! It is the best and have ordered it for years! Highly recommend!!! The shipping was not 2 days as stated, but did come within 4 days and was not a big problem for me.

My spouse is obsessed with this batter...he uses it on everything from fish to green tomatoes (this may just be a Southern thing). Lately we haven't been able to find it locally but found this to be a better deal anyhow. Great flavor and you get a lot for the price. Will definitely purchase again.

I used it on deep fried mushrooms, onions, zucchini and fish and chicken and it was all yummy.
