Magnificent!
Would buy again, would give as a gift, will keep forever. Love the cartridges. Love the refillable cartridge.Easy to clean, writes beautifully. Fine tip.

Beautiful, smooth.
I’ve owned Parker pens before with varying results. Sent back the Jotter. The IM I bought was not returnable, so I gave it a chance, but it never worked well and I ended up “retiring” it. I like my Frontier well enough, but it needs to be cleaned frequently or it won’t write. The Sonnet is a gem. Still needs to be kept clean, but it works well, smooth line and comfortable in my small hands.

Excelent Pen very pretty.
I did like this pen it worked well and comes with a converter and two ink cartridges. I did not like the ink in the cartridge but I am sure I could have changed that out for a better one. The pen it self is very pretty and is the kind of pen that give off an understated opulence that I do appreciate. the pen is light, will post and writes well. However I did conclude that for the price there were other pens that had more to offer and decided to go with them rather then this one. This is not a fault of the pen per say, just that I did not think that this pen was for me.

Perfect for my lover
This pen is beautiful! I really like the color combination. It is elegant but not at all overly so. Light and very comfortable to use I prefer using the refillable insert so I can select the most passionate color to write my notes. Using the Palmer penmanship method one does not press the pen to paper for there is no need. A gorilla grip with pressure used with other writing implements, will ruin a fountain pen. One balances the pen in the hand, the fingers about two inches from the nib, holding the hand still, poised over paper. Then, gently touching the paper with the nib, releasing the ink from the pen, gracefully tracing letters across the paper in one continuous line. That is elegance, sophistication and entails quite a bit of practice. I will tell you though, the concept of “practice make perfect” is one that with this Parker Sonnet Fountain Pen you are not only rewarded with exquisite penmanship, but with other worldly rewards. On an occasion of little importance, not an anniversary, not a celebration, just the special occasion of my letting her know how much I love her, I gave this same pen to my lover because I love her dearly and I love writing with my fountain pen. For her alone, I have selected the Pilot Iroshizuku Bottled Fountain Pen Ink, Yama-Budo, Crimson Glory Vine, Purple Red. With that introduction, she too, uses the same ink. For us, this color speaks visual volumes, reminiscent of our many Kim Anami inspired bacchanalia festivities. As we have learned from Kim and grown our abilities and skills at pleasing each other, so has our enjoyment of and skill mastering the Palmer writing technique with our matching Parker Sonnet Fountain Pens. And one of the best things with matching pens is that I can easily insert my pen in her cap, much to her delight and she enjoys having her cap filled with my pen. So we do that every time we see each other. If you love her, get her one of these Parker Sonnet Fountain Pens and she can select her most passionate ink to write notes to you and, who knows, you may even be able to join her in a Kim Anami Salon?! How exciting!

Great Gift, Will Buy One for Myself, Too
Got this as a gift for a very picky person. She loved it! The pen is not too heavy, neither it is too light, The lines come out smooth, pressure applied is reasonable. Great gift package, as everything you need to start writing comes inside the box. High quality product at reasonable price. Considering to get one for myself.

I use to scoff at fountain pens, but....
The Box: Elegant presentation makes a wonderful giftThe Look: Clean lines, nothing standing out and subtle but overall oozes eleganceSet Up Operation: It comes with a converter (pls correct me iiw)... like a piston draw mechanism. Very easy to use, just have a paper towel readyWriting Experience: My wife has an old Parker 45 and I like the feel of, for lack of better word, the "light scratchiness" that one has but the Sonnet glides smooth and still provides feed back that I like...The Nib: Beautiful stainless steel nib...we don't like the idea of interchangeable nibs, cause do it often enough I will find a way to break it somehow...or my daughter definitely willI'm not a pen expert nor am I an enthusiast but I'm beginning to see what all the hoopla was all about. This was a gift for my daughter and she is unable to put it down...hope this inspires her to write more. Just as the rotring mechanical pencils compelled her to sketch more...in a process of costing me a bit but it's worth it!!Now I'm a fan!!!

I am disappointed to find that today I noticed a chip in ...
I'm 3 months in on using this as an everyday writer. This is quite a bit of money to spend on a writing utensil but I considered it a lifelong investment. While it writes, feels, and looks extraordinary, I am disappointed to find that today I noticed a chip in the lacquer. To my knowledge it has been handled with care and has not been dropped. I have written a message to Parker concerning the 2 year warranty, I am uncertain as to whether that would apply sense I purchased it with Amazon. If I hear back from them and they are willing to repair or replace the pen I will edit this review to 5 stars, until such a time 3 is all it deserves.

Parker Sonnet
I also have Parker Jotters and Vectors which are fine pens (more notably the Jotter). Comparing them to the Sonnet, the Sonnet has a much superior, weighty feel that accentuates it’s enjoyable, flowing writing style. Excellent quality. Best pen I’ve written with to date.

Parker Sonnet
took a while for the writing smoothness to come through as at first it was very scratchy and missed a lot in the writing. I cleaned it thoroughly and bought some new ink and the problem has been resolved. Now I thoroughly enjoy the writing experience. l Would definitely recommend
