Very cool jacket, liner included, warm enough for a winter in the mid 30's in Sacramento CA
It is a very good M65 jacket, modern design, I've been using it for hiking on rainy days, it's very warm for hiking it makes me sweat , maybe I should use only a Nike Dryfit t-shirt , I like the modern features, the collar and the softer snap buttons, I have an original M65 jacket from the military surplus that I believe it's warmer and it doesn't have the liner, but this is not a complain, I can remove the liner if it gets warmer, I can layer it up as needed. Definitely I'm not a person that will stay idle on the outdoors , I'll be doing some activity. The Rothco jacket I bought it in medium-regular and I'm a slim guy 6'2" and 180 pounds, 42" chest and 31" waist, normally I buy medium t-shirts or large depending on the brand. You can wear this jacket informal with shirts or fleece jackets, or dress it up a little with sweaters and Formal shirts, it's military style and it helps that doesn't have tags and badges, Good buy ! !

The M65 lives again!
I held my breath awaiting this M65 since it is made in China BUT, my fears were for naught. It would be real hard to tell the difference between this Rocthco version and the military issue. I bought a large and it fits perfectly, easily allowing for layering be it a vest, hoodies, second insert , it is an excellent jacket. Buttons well sewed in, main zipper works well, the sleeves were perfect in length and allow for extra layering. I’d give this 10 Stars if I could. Thank you Rothco for preserving a legend…the great M65!

I gave it 5 stars. I would give it 10 stars if they had it!
Very high quality, better than Army issue Mil-Spec. It's very cold right now in northern Idaho. This jacket is really warm. The material is very durable and the wind doesn't blow thru it like some of the other cheaper knock-offs.

Good jacket needs some work, best tigerstripes M65 jacket that I could find.
I own a collection of 15 M65-jackets, so I have some knowledge ;-) And I was looking for a tigerstripe version of the M65 jacket. I could find only 2 , the Rothco on Amazon and a nameless brand (made in Korea) on Ebay UK. Rothco. Quality seems very nice, the colors are close to the original Apha Industries, see first photo on the right, Rothco is left. There are some minor differences, smaller upper pockets, different location of the epaulets, etc. Material is 55% cotton, 45% polyester. The jacket needs some work: You have to sew on extra velcro at the end of the sleeves, because you can not adjust the closure far enough, cold comes in. Same for the collar, needs also extra piece of velcro. The drawcord at the hips is not elastic, you should replace that with 4 mm elastic cord, like the original. In the collar you see a zipper for the concealed hood, that is very shiny brass, not good for a camo jacket, I will paint it black. The liner that can be buttoned in, has not buttons itself. I have sewn extra buttons onto the liner, so you can wear the inner liner as a jacket too. At the end of the sleeves of the liner, I will sew elastic cuffs to keep cold air out. Size. Is always a problem for me, because I am 195 cm long and only 80 kgs weight. Original Alpha jackets, L fits for summer use, and XL for winter use with insulating liner. I think Rothco sizes are about the same as Alpha GI issues. The tigerstripes M65 from Ebay UK , I had ordered in L , and was too small for me. The Rothco tigerstripes M65 from Amazon, I had ordered in XL , is a bit too wide for me. Price point. For the EBay jacket l I have paid 94 euros. For the Rothco on Amazon 140 euros. (I live in Europe, so extra taxes for import EU). If you want tigerstripes, the Rothco is best choice, color much better, quality also. See Photo nr 2 : Left Alpha middle Ebay Korea, right Rothco. If you want a M65 jacket, but do not need tigerstripes: I suggest the brand "Brandit"-M65 jackets, available in a lot of colors, here available for around 50 euros, good price-quality. If you want the best copy of a GI army M65 jacket, look for Helikon-Tex from Poland (made in China). For around 100 euros, an excellent jacket, strong material 50-50 Nylon-cotton, you will not regret ! The Helikon-Tex has all the features that I mentioned above, and needs no extra work, splendid !

Pretty good, but things to know.
I've got US GI M65 jackets made by Golden, Alpha and Corinth, along with "repro" companies like Mil-Tec, Teesar and Rothco. I've got 40 years of military experience from US Army, Navy and National Guard service. So, this jacket is lighter than original due to use of a poly/cotton mix and the liner is sewn to the outer at the bottom, unlike originals, which used nylon/cotton outer shell mix and a liner NOT sewn to the outer at the bottom, so as to make repairs easy. There are also NO collar point button holes, thus making use of the old style Arctic hood difficult to use, if at all. The upper pockets are at least one inch to shallow. The lower pockets, however, are well-made and possibly better than originals. Zippers are no-name, but after waxing are smooth to use. Sewing is good quality though corners could do with more bar tacking etc. in my opinion. There is no inside pocket as are now included on Alphas. I should note that the quality of Alphas now are substantially less due to their production in China, as is this Rothco. However, the changes on the Rothco pattern, like Alpha, are reflections of a modern non-military buyer. A careful inspection to cut off "Irish pennants", wash-in waterproof by Nikwax, or Scotchgard spray, wax the zippers, and this jacket will perform as well as many of the "back in the day" '65s I used. If you want a modern repro that meets original spec closely, I get Helikon (I have several), but for the price AND the coyote colour, you can't beat this Rothco. Well done them. Tweak a few things and they can have a hot product.

better than expected
Better than I expected. Solidly built with good seams and zippers. Lining is not super warm, but effective and removable if you want less bulk. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the hood, which is usable but a bit small. Not a deal breaker though as I didn't intend to use a hood with this. Comfortable and good fit for the size (2xl), with decent sleeve length and both waist and bottom drawstrings.

Sturdy, warm but Looks like a made in PRC jacket
Its just not even close to an M-65. First feel, look, impression is made in PRC in Commie green. It’s a good coat, but not an M-65. I am a veteran and I am not expecting an exact copy at all to my original issue. It’s just got to be kind of close. In fact I have an Alpha Industries (top of the line authentic) nylon flight jacket and a Rothco flight jacket. Though the Alpha much higher quality I prefer the Rothco cheapie as though poor quality keeps me warmer in my open top Jeep. Though the jacket does melt if near sun or engine warmed metal. I can live w that. But this Rothco M-65 is not something any veteran will like. Issues: Pros 1. It will do the job, it is warm. Quality is like any other jacket. I will give this jacket that kudo. But there are a million other jackets decent quality n warm. But they are not an M-65. 2. Brass zipper good. Fit is good, I’m a Large bought a medium. 3. To be honest, it seems more sturdy, warm and weather resistant than my original M-65 from the 1970’s. Negatives: 1. It is in a very odd Commie green. US Army olive drab greens always vary between wars, years, washing’s and suppliers. Look at MASH or any WW2, Korean War, Vietnam movies and you see guys in the same unit w mismatching shades of the exact same garments. But not the shade of this coat’s green. It is NKA, PLA VietCong green. If you suffer from PTSD (I don’t) you will scare yourself looking in the mirror wearing this jacket. You will think “they” are sneaking up on you. 2. The outer shell. It feels like rough cheap polyester. Even my rugged 1988 and 1992 Army issued M-65’s which are 50/50 cotton/nylon have a soft, brushed feel to them. This jacket just rough plastic fiber. 3. Lining is not a soft silky feel. It is rough will catch any hangnails you have. Very rough. For those of you that served nothing better than a soft silky woobie blanket and your soft silky M-65 lining on a cold night in the field in lieu of having female friends around. This lining just isn’t there. If you are a veteran looking to replicate your ‘Nam’ coat. Negative not even close. If you are an 80’s 90’s Cold War warrior looking to replace your USGI woodland coat w something more fashion friendly but still says “I served”. Negative, unless you want to say you served in the enemies army. If you are an Airsoft, paintball or other type. Negative, do not get this unless you are playing the part of the Vietcong, PLA or Other “ People’s Army”

Perfect Fit, Exceptional Quality - A Must Buy!
OMG, this jacket is incredible! I am thoroughly impressed with its quality and fit. As someone who stands at 6'1" and weighs 197 pounds, finding the right jacket size can be a bit of a gamble. I usually go for a medium, or a small for an extremely tight fit. But this time, I decided to try something different. After reading almost every review, I took a leap of faith and got the extra small size. And guess what? I'm so glad I did! This jacket, despite being an extra small, fits me like a medium. It's like it was made for me. I'm a fan of the North Face fleece base layer, and this jacket still offers a bit more room while maintaining that snug, comfortable fit. To give you some perspective, I recently paid $300 for a medium 1970s Alpha M65 field jacket in amazing condition, and it's significantly larger than this one. But this jacket, it just fits way better and looks incredibly stylish too. If you're on the fence about buying it, I say go for it. It's a must-buy in my book!
