Since my go-to charcoal soap was pulled from shelves I was worried I wouldn't find another that worked as well in clearing up my body acne. Worked great but the mint smell was just a bit overwhelming. Luckily it smelled natural and not perfume-y but still strong nonetheless. Only used it a few times a week so it lasted a decent time for the price.

This is the best soap ever!!! Be careful, though, if you think you might be sensitive to essentials oils. I bought this soap for my daughter, who has very sensitive skin. She tried it and loved it so much she raved about it to me every day. However, after a few days of using it, the mild acne on her forehead turned bright red. I had her go back to her old face wash and her skin returned to normal within a day. I suspected that the essential oils in the soap were the problem, as my daughter often has skin reactions to things other people readily tolerate. The seller had followed up on the sale with an email welcoming comments, so I emailed to let the company know what had happened. I did not request a refund because I planned to use up the bar of soap myself. However, I told them that they should make an unscented version of this soap so my daughter and others like her could use it. The owner responded very promptly, let me know that they DO make an unscented version of this soap but just haven't gotten it on Amazon yet, and said they were mailing a bar of it for my daughter to try out. Meanwhile, I started using this Rosemary Mint version since I know I am fine with essential oils. I am 71 years old and have suffered from itchy skin for the last couple of years. About a year ago I switched from bar soap in the shower to a natural Shea body wash, which helped a lot; however, I still had three large patches of skin that itched every day even when I didn't use soap or body wash on them. I didn't expect anything from this soap; I just didn't want it to go to waste so, instead of using it just on my face as my daughter did, I used it all over. Imagine my surprise and delight when, after two days of using this soap, all of the itching went away! The only itchy thing left on me was my scalp, which got better after I stopped using shampoo and just used conditioner, but still was enough of a problem to cause me to scratch multiple times a day. On a whim, I washed my hair with this soap. It left my hair looking and feeling like straw, but the itching went away! And, after that one washing, the itching has not returned. I would just caution anyone trying this to plan on using a very good shampoo and deep replenishing hair conditioner afterwards to get rid of the straw effect. Meanwhile, my daughter has been using the unscented bar the company sent gratis for a month now with no problems, and she still loves the soap. I just placed an order on the company's website for the unscented soap, which both my daughter and I will be using from now on. I found the rosemary mint scent pleasant, but unnecessary, and with the unscented version my daughter can use my soap if she runs out. I don't think I've ever left a review this long for anything else. Just wanted others to know that the rave reviews that caused me to order this soap are apparently not at all exaggerated. It was fortunate for me that the company had only this bar on Amazon, as I would never have tried it out for myself if my daughter had not reacted to the essential oils. Knowing her, I would have ordered the unscented initially and considered ourselves lucky the soap was working for her. I never would have known it would help me too.
