Love it! This was a perfect fit for my long hair. None of the other jaw clips work. I usually plait my hair into a single plait and although my hair is fine, the plait is quite thick. I like to curl up my plait into a quick chignon in summer because the heat makes the feel of my fat plait unbearable down my back. This wonderful octopus jaw clip does the job speedily. And my plait feels very secure up in a chignon. The jaw is large enough to hold a triple length of plait in one grip, and the teeth are strong and hold it firmly in place even when I'm jumping up and down during my workouts. So happy I found this. It seems to be of excellent quality so far but only time will tell how good it is and if it will last. I had an old similar octopus that was a tad larger which lasted for 10 years before the spring broke. Let's hope this one lasts as well. I got two of them just in case! Fantastic! I'm so happy with it.

Sturdy and effective. I have very long and heavy hair. This clip hold well and they are long lasting. The “usual brands” at most stores fail. Either the spring clip breaks in the hinge or the teeth break off. Only reason I need a new one is because I left it in the locker room after water aerobics! Teeth designed to stay close to the scalp. No bobbing around when exercising.

This does not hold my hair at all. I put it in, and it immediately comes loose. I'm not sure if it's because I have very thick hair--maybe it just can't grip it all and so never really has a chance. It might be OK for someone with different thickness or length hair.

The clip was not large enough fo r my hair which is about shoulder length. However my hair is thicker than most other individuals.

My hair is extremely thick, so I can't use them as I had wanted to use them. However, I have two of them and they work well if I use both at the same time. These would be best for thin to medium thick hair. Very pretty and well made.

As some who have reviewed this one have stated; the edges of the combs are rough and catch my hair. I've tried filling them without too much luck. I'll use a nifty lighter next which should take care of the problem.

Used to buy these at the hair shop on Beverley Hills, glad to find them on Amazon during quarantine. This is so good quality but this specific clip won’t work if you have a lot of hair. This last for a long time so worth the investment.

It has been a waste of money for me to buy these gator clips on line, because even with the XL size, it tends to be too small for me. I have a ton of baby fine hair with varying textures of straight, wavy and kinky. My stylist said she's never seen anything like it. Anyway, I purchased one of these and then a few more, as they fit all my hair securely. I like the security of having a few extras, because when my prior gator clip broke, I went out of my mind trying to find a gator clip like this.
