Barefoot: A Story of Surrendering to God (Sensible Shoes Series)

Enjoyed following these ladies on their journey together through love, struggles, and even loss. Great read. Faith filled words and applicable scripture to meditate on.

The Sensible Shoes series is an outstanding work! It successfully combines fiction and real life application. I think it is safe to say that every woman would be able to identify with at least one of the character's struggles. Several spiritual disciplines are presented, some of which I have put into practice, resulting in an enriched personal relationship with Jesus. This book makes me long for friendships depicted in the book that are filled with honesty, depth and vulnerability. I have recommended these books to several women, have led a study using the companion guide provided by the author and am currently discussing the series with a friend. It has opened us up to rich conversations that are different than what I have experienced in Bible study. All women, no matter what age, would benefit from reading this series!

I had read this book from the library, loved it, had to have it on my shelf. There were lines that had to be underlined, reminding me to go back to, and a reader can not underline in a library book. A must read!

This is the third book of the Sensible Shoes series. Run don’t walk to read this series!! Your spiritual journey will never be the same. Sharon Garlough Brown has an incredible gift pulling you into a fictional story that will challenge your own personal relationship with Christ like nothing I have ever experienced!

The Sensible Shoes Club in the final book of the trilogy travels through their life challenges and joys together, supporting each other, and learning what it means to live in sweet surrender to their Heavenly Father, including forgiveness of the ones who hurt them the most. This is a book to be slowly savored and full of lessons to be learned. However, unless the reader has a personal relationship with Jesus, this will likely seem to be a foolish story, because Jesus calls us to what often seems to be foolishness to those who don't understand how He walks with us in our life's journey and helps us do the seemingly impossible. This series of books is a great reminder of how the spiritual disciplines can carry us from day to day and see Jesus walking with us in our joys and our sorrows. Definitely a great read!

This book is another excellent story of 4 women walking with the Lord. Multiple excerpts challenge you to dive in deeper in your walk with God. You will be spiritually encouraged.

It took me a bit to settle into this book but once I did it was hard to put down. The four stories were very real. I was drawn to the relationship the four women formed and how they studied scripture and poured out their hearts to God. I long for something similar. Will read more from this author.

Barefoot is a story while reading you can identify in some way with each character. I loved all three but this one was more intense and left me wanting to read more and continue following each character. Can't wait for the next of the series to be available. I have already pre-ordered and look forward to following the story line. Barefoot is a book you can't lay down until the end. Captivating Series It is a realistic view into the lives of 4 very different women and the development of their walk of faith. I could picture myself among them.

This next book was sad but also amazing. It spoke to me greatly and as I read about the girls and their grief it was wonderful to see how they handled it and the text from the bible they used for meditation. Excellent read

The series is one of the best, if not the best. It follows four women and there personal journey, alongside each other and there personal relationship ship with God, with such honesty of there real feelings and struggles.

Ich habe die ganze Serie in recht kurzer Zeit verschlungen. Man konnte das Buch einfach nicht mehr aus der Hand legen! Es gab viele unerwartete, aber tolle Begebenheiten in der Geschichte. Man fühlt und lebt richtig mit den Charakteren mit. Meine einzige Kritik ist, dass es nur vier Bände gibt. :-)
