I want to add this product to my backpack mre kits. What is the shelf life if vaccum sealed?

I've also eaten Clif Bars after several years. Not exactly sure how many, but some of them easily could have been in the decade range. No ill effects! They were hard, although some of that was probably from getting crushed at the bottom of bags I carried them around in for years, or in the trunk of a car, or in the pocket of bunker gear. In the past I generally treated them as having an indefinite shelf life, a portable item for an emergency meal, and besides stuff getting a little dry and hard I encountered no problems. The really old ones weren't delicious cuisine, but some of the good taste was preserved. For me, they were fine. Just my experience.

Is the texture of these Clif bars hard or soft?

They are chewy,never crunchy,but most definitely not soft A Quaker brand chewy granola bar is most definitely soft. These are much much more dense than those I've eaten them for years. It takes a little more effort to chew these. It's actually a good thing because they pack so much into the bar. You're not chewing something so soft because there's not a lot of air mixed in I actually feel I am getting more for my money

I recently picked up the Clif Bar Variety Pack, and I’m honestly really glad I did! As someone who’s always on the go—whether it’s for work, a hike, or just running errands—these bars have become my go-to snack when I need something quick and filling. The flavor variety is great! There’s a good mix of different tastes, and I never get bored. I’ve tried the Chocolate Chip, Crunchy Peanut Butter, and White Chocolate Macadamia, and they’ve all been delicious. Each one has a nice balance of sweetness without being overly sugary, but they’re definitely indulgent enough to satisfy my cravings. Nutritionally, I love that they pack about 10 grams of protein, which helps keep me full until my next meal. It’s nice knowing I’m getting some real energy from a snack, especially during busy days. I will say that they do have a fair amount of sugar (around 9-11 grams per bar), so I try not to overdo it, but I don’t mind the occasional treat. The convenience factor is also a huge win for me. They’re individually wrapped, so I can throw a couple in my bag and have them ready when I need them. No refrigeration required, and they last quite a while on the shelf. It’s one less thing I have to worry about, especially when I’m traveling or in between meetings. All in all, I’m really happy with the Clif Bar Variety Pack. They’re tasty, energizing, and super convenient for my busy lifestyle. While they’re a bit on the sweet side, they’ve definitely earned a spot in my snack rotation.

I loved this. Great for on the go snack. Some of the packages come like melted so that kind of sucked but they still tasted good.
