My first order only came with two out of three, so Amazon shipped me a replacement order. In the meantime, I installed the two I had into two of my cigar humidors. They both have Boveda 69 in them. After a day, one read 57 and the other read 55. By then, my replacement order arrived, so as a test, I put all 5 into one humidor along with an expensive hygrometer I have. After a day, the expensive hygrometer read 69. The others all had different reading that were way off...from 54 to 59. By the way, they all displayed the same temperature, including the expensive hygrometer, but the humidity was way off. Based on a YouTube review, I took a chance on the same type of hygrometer, but without the probe, and those work really well...within the advertised +/- 5% tolerance. Readings are at the far ends of the advertised accuracy range. Temperature is around 2 degrees low. Humidity seems to read around 5% too high at low humidity, and then too low at high humidity. I did the damp salt calibration thing (though they can't actually be calibrated), and they stabilized in the 60s instead of 75% like they're supposed to. All three show different readings in the same location.I'm using them for plants in a terrarium, so they're good enough for me. I would not use them to monitor the conditions of an animal.

You get 3 of them, dirt cheap and that is exactly what they are worth. I attached all 3 to an incubator at the same time. 1 broke immediately, the other 2 are registering 10% different on humidity and 3 degrees different on the temperature and both those temperatures are different from the incubator's thermometer. I am not terribly upset, I should have known as cheap as they were- there's just no way they would have been any good. Lesson learned.

I got these to monitor my incubator for hatching emu eggs and although they all read A little bit differently. I know they helped me achieve an 80% hatch rate on emu hatching eggs purchased on eBay and shipped from 3 different state across the country via usps. So I myself think they were worth every penny. Now I just need to figure out what to do with 4 emu’s 😉
