Worked great. Used to replace wires on guitar hero explorer controller. No issues so far. Didn't need each ribbon so I split to fit the connections and had no issues. Will be great to have the extra wire as well.

There was NO clear outer jacket on the cable. Easy to separate.

Great set of wires except the "glue" holding the ribbon together gets in the way when trying to crimp them in Dupont connections.

the plastic used for the isolation is so cheap and low quality that it breaks down with the slightes exposure to heat or bending force. avoid this.

The insulation seems solid, and stands are easy to split but don't feel like they'll split on their own.

As others have said there is a weird clear outer jacket molded onto the outside of the ribbon cable. It makes stripping and using heat shrink tubing a bit difficult and also leaves you with messy wire ends. Strong gable otherwise I guess. Wont be ordering again.
