Intensive Hydration Shampoo Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil, For Extra Dry, Damaged Hair, Sulfate-Free, 24 oz

I love this product - Shea Moisture Intensive Hydration Shampoo Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil for Dry, Damaged Hair Sulfate-Free 13 oz. For context, I normally have highly porous hair - my hair does not retain moisture well. My hair dries frizzy if I do not take care of it in a specific way. I have a wavy hair type. This product has been an excellent addition to my haircare routine. I first apply a pre-wash conditioner, leave it in for up to five minutes and detangle my hair with a detangling brush, and then I apply this shampoo to my hair. I have medium length hair, and I use about two squeezes of shampoo - one for the top of my head and the other for near the back of my head. I then lather the product with my hands and brush it through using my detangling brush. I do not rinse it out until the product has reached the ends of my hair. This product lathers very well. I would estimate that my bottle is a little less than halfway full - I purchased June 10th and it is July 7th as I type this. Anyways, after rinsing this product out, I apply a thin layer of conditioner to my hair as a final step. However, I have noticed that this shampoo has hydrated my hair even without applying any conditioner post-shampooing. Usually I do try to condition my hair at least a little bit, whether that is by conditioning post-shampoo, or applying leave-in conditioner after showering. I believe that it would be misleading for me to make claims about the effectiveness of any one product in isolation. However, if you are dealing with frizz, a sufficient haircare routine will contribute not only to softer hair, but also with shine. I am no professional, so I recommend doing your own research before deciding on a routine or set of products. However, this shampoo is a great start, in my opinion. The shampoo has been effective in terms of making my hair feel softer. The scent is also very decent - it is difficult for me to describe, but I definitely can smell notes of honey and perhaps shea butter. The product is a silvery/white kind of shade. My hair is color treated, and this product seems to be safe for my hair. The shampoo is not heavy when applying, and rinses out easily. I would highly recommend this product!

This moisturizing formula feels rich and creamy, and it really helps soften dry hair. It lathers nicely (for the shampoo) and rinses clean without leaving my hair feeling stripped. My hair feels hydrated and smoother after use, and the scent is pleasant and not too strong. Great choice if you’re dealing with dryness or damage — it gives noticeable moisture without being heavy or greasy.

Love this shampoo and conditioner. My hair was getting dry and dull and this brought some life back to my hair. It smells soo good too. I have low porosity hair and was using product that contained too much protein so I had to stop and find something else to revive my hair and this is slowly helping.

Update 2, November : giving it another star. I'm still using it. The fragrance still bothers me, though it continues to do so less. But the results are so good with this I just can't in good conscience give it a non-positive review. If I use it too many days in a row it does get harder to rinse thoroughly, but that's maybe just me (I always flip to a different shampoo every several days to avoid that tendency). It is excellent shampoo, and I will be buying it again, for sure. Update: After using it for a few weeks...well, the fragrance still kind of makes my chest tighten up, but I'm a little more....conditioned to it, so it doesn't hit like a ton of bricks. So, it's bearable. And as I mentioned below, it does leave my hair silky and manageable, so I'm good with adding a couple of stars back. ====== It's suffocating. It would smell okay if it were 'turned down' about thirty-five notches. As it is, it pervades the shower, and takes quite a while to dissipate from my hair. It's a shame, in all other respects it's good - left my hair soft and manageable. But I can only barely tolerate that odor.

So, I’m not the typical customer of this product. I’m a male with type 2B hair, as opposed to women with type 4 hair, who this product is frequently purchased by. Despite that, I’ve found that this product is excellent. My hair has never been so soft, and it brang out my curls well. The bottle is very large for the cheap price; I’ve had it for 3 months and it hasn’t run out. I use it once every 2-3 days (I traditionally haven’t shampooed very often because it can exhaust oils in your scalp), and there’s still a lot left in the bottle. Comparing to competing shampoos that I’ve used such as Duke Cannon, this shampoo puts them to shame. This product with its before-mentioned ability to fluff your hair and bring out its features results in a better hair style/ability to style your hair. You wanna know what I did to my hair in the photo? I used the shampoo, dried my hair 80% of the way, and then ran my hand through it. It’s a no-brainer to buy this product. I also see people complaining about the smell and the cap breaking. First, I’ll address the smell. People who say it doesn’t smell good are WRONG. It smells great, like an exotic, sweet clean. If you don’t like that, I’m sure you’d rather the smell of your dyed industrial 4 in 1 shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toothpaste. Next, the cap. It breaks when you drop it right on the cap, so be careful butterfingers! Just kidding, dropping it in the shower is inevitable. If you do break the cap, you can… wait for it… TAKE OFF THE CAP! I know to some it may be inconceivable to take the cap off, use the shampoo, and put it back on, but… yeah, there are no buts, basic problem solving is an evolutionary trait we gained three million years ago. Like seriously, giving this amazing shampoo a one star because you broke the cap is ludicrous.

Smells amazing, also really helped with dandruff. Hair feels nice and clean!

Tiene un olor sutil rico, tengo el cabello grueso y ondulado y super seco. Empecé a utilizar esta marca desde hace varios tiempo y he notado gran mejoría en la disminución del frizz y en la hidratación del cabello, este shampoo en particular hidrata bastante bien. Cuidado porque puede dejarte el cabello graso, recomiendo para personas que definitivamente tienen el cabello muyy seco. Excelente calidad.

Bought this shampoo as recommended by the Curly Girl method - I really like it. Been using it about 3 weeks now and my hair feels in much better condition probably due to the lack of chemicals in this one (it's all natural stuff). Lathers up nicely and rinses well. I use with the Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner and they partner very well. Did wash my hair in my old brand as a comparison and hair felt noticeably drier but on reverting to this again, the shine came straight back. Highly recommend if you want to calm frizz and have nice bouncy curls!

It helps the hair by not removing all hydration. I am satisfied.

Smells sooooo freaking good omg. This is my new signature scent for my hair. Along with its conditioner. The hair masque I’ll buy next as well after my Mielle one runs out. This will literally be the set I’ll buy forever, even when I get older and get my own daughters. Just started using it so I can’t say much for the condition of my hair if this has made it stronger or not, since my hair still seem pretty healthy. I’ve had it now for two weeks
