the PRICE AND VALUE quality was GREAT! I couldn't believe the quality for the price really.I don't plan to use it much just for the occasional wasp nest. so if I use it once a year that's plenty (and more than I want to do LOL). the security of knowing the yellow jacket nest wouldn't be able to get me and still it was nerve wracking. Being hermetically sealed (lol) feels much better.The suit seems well made and the zippers went under a velco tab where they all meet. good elastic on pant legs and on arms. the gloves are nice with good elastic seals and quite long gauntlets. the glove wrists seem kinda thin (and it is a tight point) so I think these gloves and the wrist might not stop stings (if you let em land and go for it), the gloves seem like a thin leather. that wrist seems to be the only weak spot but its not bad since you can kill one if it goes for your hand or cover the wrist with all the extra material fold , its the blind spots or in your face that they go for that's a killer, if you don't have a suit. that being the case I just used the extra long material to cover the wrist on the glove gauntlet seam area. the suit is reasonably thick but again i wouldn't trust it against a sting you want it loose and space between your flesh so I wore a hat and a jacket in case any area on my back and neck scalp might get close. put rubber boot one and taped the paint elastic. heck I put on a old thin snow suit under it as well so nothing can get me if i bend or squat in the legs etc. its probably overkill but they are sneaky aggressive suckers.I add that its much thicker than a tyveck paint suit, maybe 16th inch thick folded over fabric well done seams, tight or solid weave material.WHY I WANTED THE SUIT?!In my youth no problem...nowadays difficult. they fly sneaky, not really a warning buzz like a bee so didn't hear em when working and hard to see, guess they fight bears and such so they will go for your soft parts and try to get into seams.one got me... killed one that climbed inside my cloths and stung me. the other guards came straight at me repeatedly...flying low to the floor since few made it to kitchen where I jogged to...What I didn't know... what those two where! because it was fire fly season, so just tried to push it away a couple times and not hurt the goofy low flying thing. as fire flies seem to be getting rare and children love to see them in the neighborhood...my wife got stung, then I got stung twice over about 3 months. it was summer so...IT WAS WAR!!!!what you might expect and try if you don't have suit and get stung:those stings HURT and they trick you. when wife got stung she felt like her bone was shocked. me getting stung month later ...i am like maybe they don't hurt me nothing going on with the sting site...HAH like as time went on it hurt worse and worse and painkiller didn't help then it swelled up hurt like 2 months. second time one got my hand wasn't as bad don't know if it was less of a sting or the 91 iso alcohol, vinegar or the digging it out, squeezing, ice or everything I tried or just better circulation there certainly itched next week though.some things that might help others:I am no expert first time dealing with this ...if you got money call a pro. but if your like me...I did a lot of research. YELLOW JACKET HUNTING ADVICE.wait till its night time (possibly a full moon better light) or barely earliest lighting the morning. if its cold that is great. They are all huddled in the nest and colder the better they took forever to come out, we had a 45 7.22c degree night after a 85 29.44c day lol and I messed with nest a lot. they claim they don't get as annoyed by a red light so can use that. oh and if possible have some sort of way of knowing a reference point where the nest is or you may not be able to find it at night. yellow jackets are more aggressive in fall since workers are getting ready to die and only the queen and a drone will over winter.so use some insect dust in a puff where they land to go into nest and into nest if you can, so the workers will drag it in and the queen will eat it, so you don't end up with her and more nests next year. insect dust takes time to kill (a day maybe for the already hatched) so the workers will still be active...which is what you want...you kill the workers too quick the queen will live. you might have to dust em twice. so the suit allows you the extra safety factor it they do come out or even swarm you..which would likely be serious or kill you.you never know quality control on these things off the net or stores nowadays, so make sure you check out all the seam etc when you get it.my wife and I have never been stung in our life from yellow jackets...so I hope this helps some people.the suit again is highly recommended !!! its not a beekeeper pro thing I wouldn't think, those cost a lot of money lol, but it does a great job for the price. thank you whomever made this!!!

No stings were received. We took advice to wear thick socks, sweatshirt, and a hat under bee suit.

Bought this to clear wasps from willow trees that provide privacy around our pool. They had become so numerous and aggressive that I had to check our skimmer after dark. There were yellow jackets, bald face hornets and a few European wasps all over. I thought for certain I would find a hornets nest and that the yellow jackets were likely in the ground.After 5 hours over two mornings of cutting back branches and shrubbery, in this suit- nothing. I came to realize the wasps weren't nesting there, they were feasting! A couple of the willows were swarming with willow aphids. The wasps were there for the easy meal.I treated the trees with a permethrin solution, along with the wasps that were in the area and by the next morning the bees were all but gone.I received zero stings in spite of the wasps being quite POed at my existence. I was expecting a cheap tyvek suit, but this was a good quality material and well made. At 5'6" and 165lbs the XL was a good size for me. I wore a hoodie under the suit for insurance. The gloves were pretty small, I could barely get my hands in them.

The media could not be loaded. Arachnophobes shouldn’t be gardeners. I picked the wrong hobby and all the spiders in the garden freak me out - especially under my melon trellis arch. I was so nervous I had spiders falling on me or jumping at me so I wanted to buy a bee suit to keep them off. It’s perfect!The first time I put it on it scared my dog (Pitties are weenies)! She then decided she liked it and it was fun, but also still slightly spooky. Enjoy the video :)

So, being the granddaughter of an old timey back in the day bee tracker, I got me a hive this spring. Grandpa never suited, so I didn't either ( except for the hat). Messed with them all spring and summer never got stung. Ummhm. Till last week. I neglected to remember it's fall.. in fall predators raid the hive. Apparently, I looka like a bear. They tore me up! Bad enough I had to go to Urgent Care for a shot, steriods and antibiotic. I was not amused. I was ready to pitch these little buzzards. My partner convinced me to " at least try a suit". I ordered this one based on the mm of the material. I ordered XL I'm 5"6 190 lbs 38dd and this suit fit nice. We accessed the hive with the smoker and the suit, I did have bees all over my butt, nobody stung. It's like they knew it was futile! I * may* have hollered " HA TAKE THAT!" or some such. I'm very happy with the purchase, as well as thrilled I didn't get tore up from the floor up by my little bdarlings. Highly recommend.Material is solid, pockets front and back, zippers are sturdy and velcro ..velcroe?

The hood zipper came apart while I was trying to put it on . In trying to get it back together, I noticed a tooth missing from the hood zipper. IN hindsight, I would have ordered one even bigger than XL as you can make adjustments for one that's too big... too small, and you're out of lucky. I could barely squeeze in this thing with my son's help. It would hardly fit up on my shoulders and was tight in the crotch area when we got it over my shoulders.. that's an XL on an average height size person .. One other note, it is not 5 mm thick.. not even close.. Someone else suggested it's about a half mil thick.. so having to add clothes for better protection is part of the size issue. Best of luck with the bees, my issue is yellow jacket ground nests. I deal with them just about every year and end up stung repeatedly when I run into one with a mower or weed whip.. I was hoping this jacket would help, but since I have problems with the hood zipper, I'll be treating the nest in our front yard at night... and hope I'm not attacked ...
