Professional quality & engineering! đŻ
It may seem expensive, but this is a high quality professional tool and the results are impressive. Itâs very well engineered and accurate, spare blades are provided (and also available to purchase). If used correctly this tool generates incredibly clean symmetrical cuts but itâs important to read the instructions properly before use as technique is everything in order to maintain a clean neat edge!Itâs important to first create a guide track with soft equal pressure, only then do you use the guide track to cut deeper (with increasing force) until the cut is all the way through. If you just grip it hard and twist it without making a guide first it will make an asymmetrical mess (user fault not tool). Also something to keep in mind is regardless of appearance, extrusions meander all over the place in terms of symmetry (a pair of Vernier callipers will illustrate that quickly). As the tool uses the circumference of the extrusion as the guide, any minor deviation in symmetry (fabrication tolerances) will result in a skewed cut. Again not the tools fault, but with practice and care you can produce consistent clean cuts (as neat a laser can)!

Effortless, just works
Used for 32mm pressure pipe and it made the whole thing effortless. Cuts are square with no chips and minimal burrs.Quicker and easier than any other method including power tools.I wish all my purchases worked this well.

Good tool, bit pricey though
Works well and gets clean cut, although expensive for what it is. There's cheaper versions that probably do the same job but I do rate Knipex.

Superb, "does exactly what it says on the tin".
"Does exactly what it says on the tin".One of the better plastic pipe cutters on the market as it won't crush the pipe whilst cutting.

Inferior
I bought to replace the rothenberger pipe cutter and it is a inferior replacement. Does not give it a smooth neat cut and requires a lot of squeezing to the tool to cut which can be very awkward in certain situations. The cut always seems to be jagged and not level as well and can lead to problems when using fittings or traps etc. Either rothenberger or ox next for me

Best invention ever
The media could not be loaded. After a million rough cuts on waste pipes finally invested in the bix. It makes neat cuts with no burrs and is very quick. If you do a slow past first its even straighter. Comes with two spare blades hidden away, once you remove the metal blade holder they are tucked underneath wrapped in paper so you cant lose them. I should of got this a long time ago, would have saved me ages. Tried it on 32 and 40mm pipe and works great.
