You can apply it to wet or dry hair on AquaGuard for Kids just like the adult version.

Q: would this still work if applied 1-2 hours before swimming?

Im sure it would, it's an excellent product. I was surprised at how well it works. I bought it for my daughter, but I use it as well now. The only issue is that you need to wet your hair to apply it, otherwise, I would not think that applying it earlier is an issue.

Q: What are difference in ingredients between the kids and the regular one?

I have no idea. I use the kids' version since I bought it for my daughter and it works very well.

Q: Does the kids version contain fragrance also?

A slight fragrance smells more like a lightly scented conditioner
