Primal Rage

(Primal Rage not Primal with Nic Cage that this product seems to be linked with somewhat on Amazon's listing). There are so many low budget monster movies about that they can often be dismissed but as a fan I watch as many as possible and every so often there's a gem and this is that. It's well made, well acted, well shot with great very gory effects. The things that the creature does at times match very closely with bigfoot lore enough to satisfy followers of that but takes it off into First Nation mythology too with a decent bit of mysticism thrown in during the second half, it also has quite a few nods to Predator. So I enjoyed it a lot while watching it but the behind the scenes feature on the German Blu Ray put it into a whole other perspective; The director is also the producer, the co-writer, the monster effects supervisor and the man in the monster suit. The whole thing was done with a crew of usually less than 10 people. The co-lead actor lost a foot in an accident during a break in the shooting but still came back into the harsh environment with a prosthetic for half the film. With all that, the fact they they made a film way above the quality of the genre they inhabit garners huge respect from me. I look forward to what they do next.

An intense thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This really is great movie centred around Big foot with a twist, with many twists in the story, it will keep you on tenterhooks throughout.

Great item I've been looking for this dvd for sometime. On region 2 yes every thing is in German but it is. Fairly easy to go through setting and settings to English. 😁 😁

the story and the monster is good enjoyed it .pity about fiddling about to get the english dialogue

This movie wasn't what i expected ..

PLOT...Lost deep in the forest of the Pacific Northwest, Ashley and Max Carr are stalked by a terrifying creature that might be Bigfoot. Soon they find themselves embroiled in a strange land of Native American myth and legend turned real. Hopelessly trying to survive, with a handful of unsavoury locals, they must fight back against this monster in a desperate battle of life or death.Wow in a big horror fan and I've not had so much fun in ages watching Primal Rage! This is a badass brutal movie made by people who really know how to make a good old-school yet modern horror that's quite frankly brilliant. I should imagine this movie has gone very underrated, this should have shown in cinemas its that cool. Finally a movie you can sink your teeth into if your a gore fan especially, the effects are amazing, everything in this movie appears at least to be practical effects, the blood and gore is graphic and looks great, the costume and monster effects are top notch, best I've seen in a long time, every so often a little horror comes along which is wow I had fun with that and Primal Rage is certainly one of them. The story is good, a new twist on the whole Big-Foot myth, they have added some new elements to the monster, the cast is all decent enough. The movie has a hint of other movies mixed in that clearly inspired it like Predator, and the ending felt so much like Predator 2. A great horror, highly recommended, one of the best little films in the last ten years. I really hope this can get a sequel, great location for shooting too which means sequels would certainly work. Probably one of the best bigfoot films out there at the moment. I've watched it many times and it never gets old!
