Know what to expect with this pipe
This was packaged well. A gasket was supplied. The included braces were okay. The screws, washers and nuts were small for anything, but a few holes in the braces. There was no fasteners that were big enough for the mounting bracket that's welded to the pipe. Although this is a hi-po pipe with an expansion chamber and suppressor the flexible 'pipe' inside (approx) 30-35 mm the mesh is flexible electric conduit with maybe a 18mm I.D.. Which in many cases could prove to be a restriction. A plus is there seems to be a good compromise or restriction and free flow in the exhaust that OEM NTC carb jetted at around 70 on the Zelda 49cc engine may not need to be changed. The spark plug had a nice beige color. My butt dyno told me the engine gained some bottom end and rpms went up quicker. HAVE A PLAN on your routing of the pipe and be sure there is a gentle bend after going around the frame. Have a solid place to mount the OEM welded on bracket. The weld is surprisingly good and with proper support the bracket can be bent 90 degrees easily. You don't get many chances at getting that bend correct. By the 3rd attempt the mesh will fray. A few more tries will separate the flexible conduit joint ruining the pipe. So, you or your customer better make up their mind quickly on routing and mounting points. I thought the performance of the pipe was good enough to order a 2nd one. This one was bought in a kit with the 'HP' carb and filter. My brother preferred torque and he is pleased with the way the bottom end (take off acceleration) is with the OEM 70 jet in that carb. Now the routing is scienced out l'm removing the conduit on the broken pipe & bending tube with 1.25 ID and welding it up to get some top end. As of now the engine pulls hard up to 25mph with a top speed of 31mph. Transition to cruising is smooth and 'passing acceleration' displays no lag. The baffles were left in. The cap is riveted, can be drilled and the suppressor material can be removed or easily replaced using metal screws. the exhaust flange can be match ported and I suggest this as the pipe may not be centered on the flange. The weld is thick enough to support port matching to the provided gasket. It's not loud and has a nice tone. I could feel an increase in torque. And with the metering rod correctly adjusted the NTC carb needed nothing more than the idle adjusted. If you're not a tuner, l think you could save the $20 on the purchase of the HP carb. The air filter may not clear on many bikes, but I don't use one and for lowend a match ported intake worked perfectly. The OEM paint is ok. I sanded and used BBQ grill paint and header tape on the steel mesh. It's a good pipe for a novice to start with and seems it will support future HI-PO add ons. For $40 the pipe works and won't require much if any work on the OEM NTC carb.I've been a mechanic for 50 yrs with hi-po tuning as my niche. l confidently recommend this exhaust pipe for Zelda 2 stroke 49cc to 80cc motor bike engines.

Exhaust
Very nice I did lose mph from my racing exhaust but also it was almost 100 dollar exhaust I swapped to see the difference but mind you I didn't try messing with raising or lowing the c clip on the main throttle jet to tune the bike I don't know what I was thinking but this exhaust sounded great better low end but again I didn't tune the card I forgot that's my fault also the welds are kinda shitty and hade to make a new bracket to hold it just Incase it were to break but cool exhaust

Sounds very good pretty rowdy not super loud
The media could not be loaded. Good for neighborhood riding and makes cool popping sounds

Do not buy!
It looks great, but it gives your engine very little power, if any at all. Something rattles in the inside of it also

It works perfectly and sounds great! Doesn't flex how expected
It's rather stiff flex pipe but once you get it situated and bolted up it works great, I've been using it a year now and have no complaints. You can take the tailpipe cap off and add washers to make it even quieter if you like it can be almost entirely silenced
