A good SAMe to use in addition to other liver supplements
These SAMe tablets have been useful for my cat who is having liver complications. I have also been giving him 1 tablet of Milk Thistle Liver & Kidney Supplement for DOGS and CATS with DHA, EPA, Silymarin, and Vitamin B (B1 B2 B6 B12) to Prevent Liver and Kidney Disease - 60 Chewable Treats - Bacon Cheese Flavor. In combination, this regimen has reduced his liver enzyme marker by around 20%. This is not enough to magically cure him or anything but it does allow him to be a bit more stable. With some Cerenia (anti nausea) it has allowed him to get some nutrition and keep it down.Again, this pill and other supplements will not cure an animal with serious liver issues but it will help with prolonging lifespan and keeping quality of life more stable.Dimensions can be seen in the photos I have attached.30 tablets are included per package. Remember to get enough to keep up with whatever dosage recommendations your vet offers.Be aware that this is a 90mg dose. Other SAMe's tend to be 100mg.INCLUDEDPros:*Helps support liver*Easy to take for the animalCons:*NoneAdditional Considerations:Make sure to consult your vet on dosage recommendations.Overall: 5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 starsIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

A life saver
My dog was diagnosed with liver disease 6 years ago. My vet suggested Denosyl at that time. At one point they told me his "liver was shutting down". That was 4 years ago. I took him off a low protein diet because he seemed miserable on it and just kept him on Denosyl. He acts very normal for a 16 year old dog. He still gets around great, runs in the park, eats well. It's almost like there is nothing wring. Plus this price point is reasonable compared to RX meds. I couldn't be happier. This med gave me years of additional time with my dog!

Proven to work based on blood tests, ALT from 800+ to 187 in 30 days
When rescuing a miniature pinscher, ran a blood panel on the little guy. The vet and I were surprised: his ALT level was > 800. That's super high. This solves that. ATL should be about 87-122. Indicates his liver is not healthy. When an x-ray didn't turn up any tumors or other indicators of the root cause, the next best step was to try this and re-test. After 30 days on this product, testing returned ALT 187, still too high but a dramatic improvement. At that point I stopped using them to see how my new dog would do on his own. Three months later, and the level was at 280. So, the bad news is he probably has something like PHPV and will need this for life. The good news is, he eats them as easily as if they were a treat - literally right out of my hand, just touch some peanut butter to my palm for smell - and they work! Thank you for making this product and for making it small and tasty enough that it's effortless to administer.

good small size for 8lb cat
well just like the danamarin tablets these were easy to administer as well, same size. i noticed even though i gave 3ml of water afterwards, it irritated his throat like the D did so i stuffed these into an empty zero capsule as well and no more problems with it bothering cat throat and mood afterwards.Unfortunately i cannot say if these help or not to lower liver enzymes for after wasting a thousand plus in vet/med bills and unneeded vet trips & tests his ALT enzyme were still up and i decided not to allow vet to perform the last test she wanted to perform next (a liver biopsy), i stopped all of these meds and insisted vet treated my cat for what i tried telling them i believe the problem was from the very start almost 2 mths prior but, guess since i don't have a vet license i know nothing in their eyes.... My cat indeed had a bacterial infection like i suspected, it was easily treatable with clavamox in 6 wks!! his numbers went from 3044 right before this antibiotic, to 427 in 3 wks and were 129/normal at 6wks.. Am sharing that part of our vet experience so if weeks on danamarin or this denosyl and milk thistle do nothing or little little for your cat or dog and they had vomiting issues in past or present, insist your pet be treated for a bacterial infection before wasting more of your money and stressing your pet out with unneeded procedures/meds.

A great product!
Our cat has FIP and needs extra meds for his immune and health. The vet recommended these and he has done very well with them. We have repurchased twice already

A Great Value and a Fine Medical Supplement for My Kitty
Pricing was great half the price of the Vet.Expiration date is 2017 which is an extended time period.Have not had my Kitty RG's re-exam yet for her elevated Liver enzymes but I will be putting her on a regular regiment of this compound. This follow up will be done in the next few days. She is TEN years old and regardless of this she deserves all the care and Medical support with preventive medication that is required to keep her around and in good health.I will follow up with future Medical information when it becomes available.

My kitty hates these
My cat HATES these pills. They have helped her blood work throughout FIP treatment but I cannot hide these in anything for some reason.
