I needed something tall with a few shelves and a place to put a turntable for my teen's bedroom. I like the idea of the ladder desk. This piece is just ok. I would NOT RECOMMEND FOR A YOUNG CHILD'S room as it is lightweight and can easily be pulled over. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR AN ADULT SPACE as they give you STICKERS to cover the screw holes. This is a cheaply made piece of furniture, however it works for our teen's room. The shelves and desk space are sturdy enough to hold the items we have....a turntable (but not with the receiver), a salt lamp and some books.

Great size. Easy enough to assemble. But packaging came damaged and missing a small piece for assembly.

If it is the black one I purchase made very well excellent. But I also purchase a white ladder desk and it was made very very poor from another company bit Amazon. I wish they had the white desk made like the black one.
