This seems to be a decent product for the price. I bought this because I have a wooden dressed that I tend to do my hair on and dont want it to cause burn marks. This seems burn resistance and does not leave marks or melt with the product on it. I is easy enough to throw in my drawer when I am done or could easily pack this in my back to travel with. The quality is what you would expect. It does not feel dingy. It does seem to work well.

Good quality mat, heavy duty and can hand wash over and over I have bought a few now, does not melt from the heat, but of course, if the curling iron sits on it and touches the plastic it will melt. Would recommend good quality for the price.

I bought an Octowand and it did not come with a stand to keep the barrel off of my counter. This inexpensive mat did the trick. It works perfectly. I was concerned that it would melt with the heat of my wand, but not to worry, it is safe and sturdy!!

As a 50 year old I am often not aware some things have been invented that offer new convenience and make life easier. This is one of those things that I came across during primes last sale event in October of 2024. I was looking up heat resistant mats for my kitchen and saw this, didn’t necessarily go looking for it, but for under $4 it was an easy decision. I was very cautious the first few times when wrapping my hair flat iron. I left it sit on the mat after I was done & while doing my hair but let it sit to cool before wrapping. Next time I wrapped it up while still super hot but wasn’t ready yet to trust it in the drawer. 3rd use I wrapped it hot and came back at 5 & 10 minutes later to check the temp. I finally felt like this does as advertised and yes, you can wrap a hot flat iron after use and immediately put it in the drawer. The outside of the silicone wrap is a little warm to the touch after 10 minutes but it has caused no melting or warping or damage inside my drawer or on the flat iron itself, or the counter beneath. It has also created much needed space inside my drawer as it wraps the cord around the mat nicely and makes travel easy. I’ve had no issue with quality, and for the price point it’s a total win. I’m still a little confused on the design of the outward loop, If you put your cord through the loop at the base of the hair product you’ve got to pull the cord through the loop each time you want to use it. But if you leave the cord out of the loop you can’t use the loop as easily when wrapping to tuck the outlet end into the loop. I assume it’s user failure on my part so I plan on watching some of the reviews for tips. That’s a silly minor issue, but I’m thinking I’m missing a feature that is beneficial. If this product fails or doesn’t last I will update but if no update is listed, these are my thoughts on their entirety.

This is just what I was looking for. It is large enough that my hot tools (curling iron or straightener) don’t hang over the edges. The thickness is enough that heat doesn’t penetrate through the mat. I use it often and it has never shown any sign of burning. The material is flexible enough to roll up for storage of travel. There is also a loop that can be used for hanging on a hook.
