Great but could be easier to put on
These are not very easy to put on and I wouldn’t allow my pip to wear them for long periods, but they are perfect for covering foot wraps for potty breaks. They stay on easily and sizing is correct. They are waterproof and are way to clean.

Exactly what I was looking for
These were exactly what I wanted. My parents have an above ground pool and we wanted something to put on our dogs paws to prevent them from tearing the pool liner. We got the dark green (x-large) for our English Mastwhiler (English Mastiff/Rottweiler mixed breed) and they fit him really well with a little extra room in the toes. We got the Purple (large) for our America Staffordshire Terrier and it fit her great, she not real big but has meaty arms and wrists, we could have put her in a medium of the back feet but the large still stayed on just fine. In the application we used them they didn’t keep water out, but they did keep their feet wet long after they had come out of the water so I would believe that if you were using them for walks in the rain or wet weather, or on hikes when they might be stepping in some stagnant water they should work fine. However, I wouldn’t use them for walks or hikes as they are just like a slightly thicker latex balloon. I’d just go for the more traditional dog shoes for that. But they are great for the beach or pool to protect the pup’s paws from hot sand or pavement (they’ll still feel heat but it shouldn’t burn them) As for durable and clean-able, like I said above they are essentially balloons, not really durable and not worth cleaning and reusing. Plus for the price, it’s worth throwing away and buying another pack.

The opening is less than 1 inch and my great dane's foot is at least 4 inches
The opening is less than 1 inch and my great dane's foot is at least 4 inches. It took both my wife and I all 4 hands to stretch these open enough to get one of our dane's paws into these. It probably took 10 minutes to get all 4 on her. We threw the rest of the pack away after doing this twice. Our dogs go out 7 times a day and I don't have two people and 10 minutes of install time per trip on muddy days. It is a good idea, they just take way too long and are too difficult to put on very large dogs. Replaced with a roll of paper towels by the back door.

Good solution for bandaged foot
My dog has a cancer that hit the paw pad. The tumor was removed in an operation, and the paw is bandaged. We needed a protection for the bandage. We tried other products, but they proved impossible to use. We have to put the boot on every time the dog is going out, even to the yard. Since we are dealing with a tumor, we have been using these for the past 6 months, and are likely to continue till the dogs demise. These boots are easy to put on/take off. They do their job nicely. The reason I take one star away, is that they are not durable enough. A boot will hold for 3-4 days. Sometimes less. This makes them somewhat expensive. The boots are not uniform - some are made of thinner rubber, some are thicker - coming from the same pack. However, regardless of the deficiencies, these boots are the best we were able to find dor our situation.

Good and Bad.
I have a very large Black Lab/Rottweiler mix who is old and has problems getting around on our hardwood floors. She is on medications and supplements for her joint problems, but it was still a struggle for her to stand sometimes. We purchased a set of grippy socks for her and they lasted about 5 months before her claws eventually tore them all up from the inside. I decided to give these a try. There was no issue getting these on her feet, but my dog is a gentle giant and will let me do pretty much anything I want. She even pushes her feet into the socks, helping me put them on her. If your dog struggles you might have problems getting them on, because you have to keep the booty stretched out while you pull it up on their foot (ESPECIALLY IF YOUR DOG HAS DEW CLAWS! BE CAREFUL!) We purchased XL size, but I wish I had gotten L instead. My dog has big paws and weighs 90lbs. Things you should know: Do not keep them on your dog for an extended period of time. They don't breath at all and will make your dog's feet STINK like a locker room. They also seem really tight at the top and may cut off circulation after an extended time. These aren't the kind of socks that the dog can wear 24/7. Keep your dogs nails trimmed and round out any sharp edges with a file. Sharp nails will tear right through the booties. My dog (with the huge paws) has very thick nails that are hard to trim and she doesn't move around enough to wear them down naturally. These booties don't last very long on her because of this (we do have her nails professionally trimmed, but there is a limit to how short you can trim a dog's nails because of the quick). These work great for her bad days, or when it is raining outside and I want to give her more traction on the floor when she comes inside (or else she will slip all over my tile floor). These are not a good option for keeping them on all day long. My dog never wears boots on ALL of her feet, because of an injury to one of her front paws. Even wearing 3 boots (or 2 on just her back legs) these really do help her walk around better. They also make a "squishy" noise when she walks, which I find hilarious.

These are a life saver!
I have a Bullmastiff so finding the right fit was difficult because he's a very large dog. All of the other ones look great and seem great, but they slide down or fall off. These don't. They are tight enough to stay on the entire walk, but not too tight to hurt him. I wouldn't leave them on for more than 15 minutes though because they are tight, but that's exactly why they work. It seems like you're going to get 2 of them, but to my surprise, there were 12! This gave my dog a new lease on life because he has sores on his paws from Pre-Lupus and for the powder to work and other medicine, his paws can't get wet at all. In-doors he wears a different type that is pretty good. He's not the most energetic dog, so we only have to adjust them while he's inside a few times a day. Anyway, back to this product. BUY IT!

These boots are wonderful! I can not express my pleasure with this ...
These boots are wonderful! I can not express my pleasure with this item enough. I truly think it saved my old dog's feet this winter. I have a 12 year old German Sheppard/Golden Retriever mix who is a bit unsteady on his back legs. He also gets horrible ice balls in between his pads. These boots made a world of difference on our morning and evening walks. This winter was particularly cold and snowy here in NE Ohio. Sidewalks were icy and the roads weren't much better. These boots protected my dogs feet on the sharp, crunchy snow/ice on the sidewalks and, when sidewalk travel became too difficult, we could actually walk in the street without having to worry about the road salt burning his pads. I also think they helped keep his feet warm and dry on all those sub-zero mornings. The first time I put them on his feet, he wasn't too sure, but after just a couple of steps, he was walking normally. He never gave me a hard time about putting them on, either. One set of 4 is all I have used so far, one of the boots has a couple of nail holes in it so we just turn that one over. I would, and have, recommended this product to everyone who has a dog.

Just buy real boots/shoes for your dog.
These didn't even last through a 20min walk around my neighborhood. No playing or strenuous activities, just neighborhood grass and pavement. Yet the bottom of a boot was ripped before I made it home. I'd even bought a bigger size (she's about 50lbs, so maybe M/L, but I bought an XL) to make sure her paws would have room to spread, her nails wouldn't poke through, and to keep the opening from restricting her circulation, though they were still quite tight. But it still ripped on the bottom, and ripped across the middle, not even the top where her nails would have been. It would have been different if we went on a hike or even a long walk around town. For these to not even make it through a regular neighborhood walk, it makes them a waste of time, energy, and money. Do yourself a favor and just buy real boots/shoes for your dog.
