Really like this hydrofoil. Makes your boat perform a little better in all aspects: hole shot, planing at lower speeds, top end speed and handling. Put mine on a 18 ft deck boat with a 115 hp Mercury. Very happy with what it did for my boat. Well worth the $85 and relatively easy to install with the no drill option.

This product now makes my boat useable. It's not a miracle but it makes the boat do what it is supposed to do -- get on plane and full speed quickly. I used to have to stand toward the front of the boat and hold the steering wheel behind me to get it on plane. If the bilge was full of water I had to wait until it was all drained to get going. Last week I was able to get up to full speed right away even with the bilge full of water and could run while pumping. I had 3 adults and 1 child yesterday with no problems.And it is super easy to install. I installed it in less than an hour -- by myself while the boat was in the water! If I did it on land with an assistant it would take about 10 minutes but I had to be careful not to drop any of the nuts/bolts in the water.It might take a few MPH off the top but I don't care as long as I can go. And it porpoises right away if I trim it up a little.I have it on a Mercury 60 HP bigfoot motor on a 16 foot Bayliner Element deck boat.I highly recommend it.

Installed this on my 90hp Evinrude yesterday using the no-drill method. Took the boat out for a test and noticed several improvements: Better handling at low speed (less zig-zagging), gets on plane faster with less stern dig, maintains plane at lower speed. In all situations the improvement was not huge, but was noticeable. I consider it worth the money. The no-drill installation seems to be holding up, but that was only after one test ride, so time will tell. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the installation bolts are just barely long enough to reach through the foil, cavitation plate and no-drill washers. Would it have killed the manufacturer to include bolts that are a quarter to half inch longer, or maybe include 4 extra bolts that are a little longer. Also, the lock nuts are supposed to be 7/16" but I tried several 7/16 wrenches and sockets, and all were just slightly too small to fit. I ended up using a 12mm socket - wasn't perfect, but was the closest fit I could find. For $100 you would think the manufacturer would pay a little more attention to detail. However, the product seems to be working well and I would purchase it again.Update: After several more trips and tests I've found that if you trim the motor all the way down before hitting the gas then it planes almost immediately with barely any dig. You just have to remember to level the trim back up after planing, otherwise there is a lot of drag (understandably).

Worked great on a 2021 140 Suzuki outboard. My 23ft fishing boat plained faster also the front dose not nose dive if I drop it to neutral from 5k rpm. My steering was always smooth. I do feel my boat handling more on point more crisp. Before if I was cruising at 1500-2500 rpm the nose of my boat would be pointed up in the air. Not anymore it barely raises up. I am happy with the se sport 400. Works great on a 23ft dusky.

Easy installation, 20 ft fish and ski yamaha pro v 200 hp boat can plane out pulling a tuber at 23 mph, before I put it on I couldn't plane out under 30!! Jumps right up on plane and runs in rough water under speed like a big boat

Easily bolted on in 10 minutes. Took it out today and worked great. Out on a plane pretty much instantly. We only had two people on boat with 4.3l Merc. Super value.

I was having trouble with my boat getting on plane and when it did get on plane it would porpoise pretty bad. I added two 10' power poles and a jack plate on my boat. This is reasoning for my issues. After reviewing several options I decided to go the cheapest route and add this to my motor. Boy am I glad I did. Not only does my boat get on plane, it rides sooo smooth now once on plane. If you are having trouble with your boats performance such as I, I highly recommend this product!!! 5☆ all the way! Not to mention it's easy to install!
