Not just for pipe repairs...
LASCO 13-1304 Stainless Steel One-Piece Pipe Repair ClampRefer to the Customer image for the relative size of this 1" clamp, which is tightened all the way on a 1" copper pipe (1-1/8" outside diameter). It's too loose on that pipe. So..., this clamp should fit OK if your pipe or conduit is 1-3/16" to 1-3/8" (or more) outside diameter. The same relative sizes should work with all of these clamps, that is, add 3/16" to the clamp size for the minimum outside diameter pipe it will fit, and add 3/8" to the clamp size for the maximum OD it will fit – why they don’t say that in the description is a mystery.I used one of these to connect the two ends of a broken flexible electrical conduit, rather than spend hours rewiring and replacing the damaged section. The rigid conduit from the house is 1" outside diameter and the flexible conduit to its right is 3/4" OD, so a 3/4" clamp would have been a better fit. In any case, I built up the outside diameters to 1-3/16" with multiple layers of Gaffer's tape. Did the job. Some reviewers complain about the clamp’s blue color. The stainless steel part of these clamps are protected by the factory with a thin blue plastic that the customer peels off.

Junk
The ears broke when I tightened this down. This may be stainless but it is cast and will break if you over-torque these. Ended up in the trash...

It works
A few years ago I managed to get too close to my water well hydrant and put a nice gash in the pipe with my brush cutter. Not wanting to dig it up to replace it I relied on gorilla tape until I found this. Its been on a few years and has yet to leak a drop. Would totally use it again if I have another oops moment.

This product confuses me - could its description be incorrect? It's described as fitting "1" black pipe or 1.25" copper" but it's WAY too small to fit such a large pipe. The unit I received would barely fit a 3/4" pipe without some work, and even if you folded the clamp way out to fit a larger pipe, the bolt would never reach that far. In the end I actually took the black rubber patch element out and put it straight onto the pipe with hose clamps on either side of the damage. This one is a good concept, especially if you want something re-usable and it does fit for you - but check your fit first!

Well made
This clamp seems well made and capable of joining fractured exhaust pipe. I was unable to use it since my application had too much pipe bend to securely hold.
